    Air Version 2.9.0

Mine installed it Saturday night. Took a minor road trip Sunday (110 miles) and noticed nothing different at all. Everything worked fine.

If not an Air, which EV would you buy?

Americans don't like sedans. The Ioniq 5 sells well and is basically the same platform

If not an Air, which EV would you buy?

Oh, they are absolutely correlated, at least in production cars. The C rate is the limiting factor Peter Rawlinson talked about this quite a bit.

If not an Air, which EV would you buy?

I'm guessing my answer will be considerably different from others here. I love my Air GT and have 0 regrets buying it- the things I love most are the 800hp, quietness, and handling given its size. I'm not much for the luxury features- they're fine but I'm indifferent- and have no use for some of...

    Air Version 2.8.30

So mine updated Tuesday and I noted a difference in available climate settings in the phone app and that there is now a precondition battery option in the phone app. I tried the precondition and it worked fine. Since then whenever I've looked the precondition button, it is grayed out and says...

Buying Lucid Air GT close to warranty expiration

I think it all comes down to price and expectations. That was a $100K+ car I assume and if I had to guess you're about to pay ~$50K for a car with 10K miles. Have to price in the possible maintenance and your tolerance of inconvenience. Most of the problems that are listed on the forum are more...

Yes, I was making a joke (obviously a poor one)

Kyle shares more about Lucid Cosmos

So, I thought about this and realized I should really give this technique a genuine shot. I've been driving that way exclusively since Saturday. This took some experimentation but is definitely way better than letting completely off. I would say there were even some circumstances under which it...

An Air UX 3.x Question for you Software Pros...

Thanks for the insight. I do think this does apply to cars like the Lucid and has become the norm in these new "software defined" vehicles. Not sure it applies to older vehicles equipped with say Bosch systems. That stuff was/is pretty robust. I am always wondering if the trade off is worth it

    Air Version 2.8.30

Just noticed the phone app now has a button to precondition battery. Never had that before

    Air Version 2.8.30

Just installed it this morning. Very surprised to see the new cold gas thrusters. Can't wait to try them out

    Lucid Air drive problems

Air suspensions are generally inferior to those with soil springs- certainly from a handling stand point. They are also a source of 100% failure eventually

This might shed light on why automakers don’t go “all in” with CarPlay / Android Auto

No doubt you are right. My uneducated opinion was to laugh at the idea. Building cars is hard; really hard and the margins aren't great.

Had My First "Lucid Moment" (Locked Valet in Car on Hot Day)

This is spot on. How many cars hasn't Lucid sold because people read about all these software bugs?

Had My First "Lucid Moment" (Locked Valet in Car on Hot Day)

Very sorry this happened to you. My 2016 Jetta has required I replace the key fob battery twice since I've owned it. When I want to lock the car, I press a button on the fob. When I want to unlock the car, I press the other button. If the fob or 12V battery goes dead, I have a key that opens...

This might shed light on why automakers don’t go “all in” with CarPlay / Android Auto

Thanks for a very interesting perspective. Did the folks at GM take the idea that Apple was actually going to build a car seriously?

This might shed light on why automakers don’t go “all in” with CarPlay / Android Auto

I am 64 Fair enough, but you don't really have the history quite right. The legal Bell monopoly broke up in 1984- and the results were mostly reduced prices and a choice of different physical phones which you could actually own (pretty much all of which were worse than the bell phones)...

This might shed light on why automakers don’t go “all in” with CarPlay / Android Auto

I may lack imagination, but I would describe CarPlay as a commodity which has very little room for innovation and improvement (at least on the customer end). Have smart phones really improved over the last 10 years? I especially don't think a company like Lucid should move towards bespoke...
