One Weekend with Lucid Gravity Dream Edition #319 (Former Model X Owner)

Tesla does charge port doors well… No prying… no water or ice problems, push the little unfortunately unlabeled button on and tesla cable and it opens and as soon as unplugged it closes up again… spoiled me. The auto close Model X front doors are also missed. But not when driving thru mountains...

The gravity door release levers with the knurled grip… are among my favorite features… seems far less likely to trap alert occupants… not so sure how outer handles work yet( unlike Tesla where in emergency you pull a different lever. Seems like Tesla should have a safety card in the car to...

The drive to Santa Fe NM went off without a hitch. The car got us there and back beautifully. Yes the FOB… blah blah… yes the redraw errors on displays occ, blah blah… But man oh man in the gaps of the traffic when you could punch it and catch the next group nearly instantly, or the mountain...

My feelings about it and what I said made me feel sad and guilty for the person who invented it… or was it simply attorneys who in a fit of lawsuit avoidance made them put it in whether it worked well or not.

The little flags are chip seal markers… little strip of butyl on edge to poorly hold them down and floppiness that lets you seal over them and they pop back up to temp show lines while curing and until repaint. ( used to own part of Bay Area Barricade Service or BABS)

You just clambered in after a walk to the ever charming Walmart at the EA station… you unplugged and are ready to roll out… your partner wants to get moving… a glance in the mirror shows the port open… Power open and close and as my adapter acted stuck once until I moved the car a few feet...

I do love how DD Pro lets me guide it and fine tune without dropping out completely.

Also… really miss auto open and close doors from Model x. Especially agree on charging port. Accidentally left mine open a couple times in 2k mile trip recently. Attention monitoring was awful. And I was used to occasional scoldings and reprimand from training early Teslas (2016). Was tempted to...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Our 26 Model Y lost the phone key settings over and over… had to keep card handy… then it got an ota update and all has been well ever since.

I updated overnight… no problems, prolly slept thru them… seems like the QNX os restarts errant processes on its own after a while if it detects the error. It apparently runs the IoT in the car and the cool ATMOS sound system.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Just ran update to 3.3.5… updated last night… drove it around to multiple locales today… in and out of car several times… no resets of either the FOB or the car infotainment. I was reluctant to update until home jic… but now that I am home… I ran it and am glad I did. Gonna try to get FOB update...

Would be useful if they gave us the version number of the FOBs… to help get this all understood better.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Sure hope mine doesn’t do that as I am at least 500 miles from an SC and not eager to drive a loaner for the long drive home if the update causes any serious issues.

And this is why I am waiting to update until I am home from New Mexico ( no service centers) where I need the nav…. I can reset the fob a few more times to get back to the SF Bay Area where I know my way without the nav.

Have you checked the setting for only unlocking driver door on first push? Pretty sure there is a setting that sounds like what you are seeing.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

My DDPro swerved when old lines were still visible on road… not cool… caught in time obv but scary. I remember when my Tesla did similar stunts. This is why simply touching wheel is risky… keep a hand grabbing wheel until the road lines tracer gets a bit smarter.

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Seen it once or twice in 1000 miles… reset fixed it for me… had to reset twice in a row one time and let all the processes boot back up. Give it a few minutes to reset after the reboot. Return from New Mexico to California in next 3 days… Should be fine but waiting to run update until within a...

Lucid Gravity update 3.3.5 + fob update

Have you tried rebooting FOB? Seems to work… I have never had to walk away from car to get it going… FOB reboot for the awkward half win.
