    Starlink Mount

Only briefly. I ordered both the suction cups and the magnet feet (it was only $10 more to get the combo, although the metal disks cost extra). At first I tried the suction cups, which are high quality and strong. But I only tried it around the neighborhood and a few miles on the interstate...

    Starlink Mount

Got back this week from a 3400 mile road trip (CO-TX-MS-TN) with the dish frequently mounted on the roof (outside). Worked like a champ. Very few signal drop-outs. I didn't have it mounted every day, but probably for 2000 miles of it. Only noticed 2 short drop-outs. Definitely better than...

WINDSHIELD REFLECTIONS ( Dash & HUD)

Just my guess, but I would be very surprised if anything gets done to fix/replace the glare issue on existing cars. That's a physical problem with the HUD/dash, which would take much more effort and cost than pushing out software updates to address some of the simpler HUD issues. Lucid is...

"Engineering Explained" Takes Another Swipe at Lucid

That's a good characterization of their execution on this one (and sadly, pretty much as a company on the whole so far).

"Engineering Explained" Takes Another Swipe at Lucid

Their intention is to get everyone a good Gravity, of course, but for this scenario I'd think they'd have made extra sure. The alternative thought is even worse... that they're not even capable of telling if it's a good one or not. 😬

"Engineering Explained" Takes Another Swipe at Lucid

You'd think Lucid would have made sure they gave him a GOOD Gravity after the Air failure. Seems like the whole point of loaning him a Gravity for a year would be to prove his Air was just a rare lemon and that Lucid was still worthy. But to then turn around and give him a lemon Gravity is...

WINDSHIELD REFLECTIONS ( Dash & HUD)

Ah, the sun glare issue. So many different descriptions.

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Yes, that's why I relayed my interaction with Lucid in the post above. Maybe you didn't see it. They've stopped for many. They haven't stopped for others. Which is presumably why 3 straight updates continue to say they're attempting another fob improvement.

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

That's what I'm afraid of too, although since they can't seem to figure out what's even causing the fob delays, who knows. All I can do it hope there's something different with PAAK.

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Not in person yet. I submitted a request to Customer Care a month ago, with extensive detail. Finally got a response. They assigned it to tech that txt'd me this week, asking if I was still experiencing the problem. (Sounded like a new guy, maybe?) Said he'd check with his foreman. He was...

WINDSHIELD REFLECTIONS ( Dash & HUD)

Is this the reflection of the HUD box screen that tends to have some lingering glow to it that fades when you go from sun to dark (like entering a parking garage)? I notice that in mine. Takes a couple of seconds for the system to detect and adjust the brightness to the dark outside...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

That's been in the works for a while now. Moving at Lucid time. 😅

Is there anyone who likes the GRAVITY GRAND TOURING H.U.D..

Our Porsche Macan EV HUD works perfectly, even with polarized sunglasses. That was our first car with HUD, so that was my expectation for the Gravity. Boy was that a letdown. But with a lot of compromises, it's usable now.

Is there anyone who likes the GRAVITY GRAND TOURING H.U.D..

The pros outweigh the cons for me. Yes, the issues with positioning and glare are big and annoying. I have to sit much lower than I usually prefer (although that has the added benefit of making the view out the rearview mirror a little less terrible). I had to get new non-polarized...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

For me it's about automatic proximity unlocking vs manually intervening. Cardkeys and pressing buttons in the app are fine as backup when automatic proximity unlock fails, but that needs to be the 1% case, not the 99%. I want automatic proximity unlock 99% of the time. Just walk up and get in...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

When the news is bad, yes. There's is no good way to deliver bad news. I think everyone is appreciative of them informing us. That's not the disappointment. The further delay is. Whether we hear it like this or we're just left hanging for another year, it was still gonna generate a frustrating...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Frankly, they should just automatically send them for free to anyone that only has one. I'm not one that normally thinks automakers should just be sending out free stuff because someone bought a car. But in this case the fob problems have been well-documented and after repeated attempts to fix...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Let's just hope it's correct even with the latest delay. Time will tell. I'm hoping PAAK doesn't use the same system that's still causing my fob unlock delays.

Massage seats have a phantom echo push

Mine does the exact same thing when using Deep. Like 20 minutes after it automatically shuts off, I feel a phantom pulse from one of the baffles on my left shoulder blade. Maybe 30% strength. Weird.
