    Air Version 2.9.0

Is this a function that we need to enable? (if so, where ) Or are you just noting that with the new update it seems to be built-in? This sounds like a meaningful boost in functional capability!

    Air Version 2.9.0

What resets have you tried? Up to and including full sleep… These sorts of glitches seem to nearly always resolve after resets (sometimes needing to do that more than once). Especially stuff that is so sudden and out of the ordinary, just after an update.

    2025 Air touring efficiency

https://lucidowners.com/members/lucidbrit.4739/ (damn, I’ve never figured out how to add the tag to a particular forum member) Your 3.9 lifetime is pretty great! My AT is performing similarly, about 4.1. I’d say anything around 90% of the rated 4.45 is a clear win for the Touring, given that...

$100K Lucid Air – 3 Years Later, Still Waiting on Promises

I agree that the front safety protection is overly conservative on highways, often braking (gently or moderately, ocassionally suddenly slowing by 5-10mph) when unnecessary, especially when a car ahead of me is exiting and I’m passing by in the right lane. Similarly, when backing up, the...

    Lucid Service Issues

Many people on the forum reported a clunking noise in the front of the car when going over relatively small bumps. It turned out that the primary cause of that was the loosening of a connection in the sway bar, which is something to do with the front axle. So at this point, anytime you go in...

New to EV market - looking at Lucid

If passive lock is turned off, can’t you just depress the handle when you arrive at the car, to unlock it? That’s how both PAAK and the Fob work for me…. When I want to lock it, I press the handle as I leave, and again as I return to open. At home, if I let it just sit then sleep on its own...

New to EV market - looking at Lucid

iOS update had no effect on CarPlay for me. Air Touring, still works great.

    Lucid Service Issues

I also have a 2025 AT. I scheduled my first annual service on the app, six weeks or so out I think, at my local Natick service center. I received a text confirming the appointment, and I believe a follow up when it was a few few days out. There was never any mention of mobile service. I’m a...

Tip: use Claude when you want to find forum posts on a particular topic

I just tried searching the Forum for a rather obscure topic (door being locked for a passenger when I back out of the garage). I knew I had seen something about this on the Forum a year or so ago, but it didn’t surface when I searched. When I described the situation to Claude, it clarified the...

Drive Assist Report - Post 2.8.30

Sorry to hear this! I simply can’t imagine driving without polarized sunglasses, due solely to the glare on the windshield. While these don’t nearly match the style points of a Lucid, they slip over my normal (bifocal) glasses easily, and as long as I don’t ever show myself outside of the car...

High mileage owner – service downtime concern

For the routine annual service (every 1yr or 12K miles), that can be scheduled for a single day. At least that’s how it worked for me at Natick. I think I had to book it a month or so in advance, but since there wasn’t any pressing need I could just fit into a slot that they had available, and...

    Northeast Lucid regional area

I have a 2025 air touring, and I haven’t heard anything about this. I think full recalls generally get press as well. I wonder if this is one of those— I don’t remember the exact name for it— but Lucid does issue blanket service tickets on known issues, which get addressed when you’re in for...

Okay... who keeps turning off my 'stop hold' to 'roll'?

Mine has stayed in Hold with no issues. Software sure is odd with when/how it can flake out so variously….

Almost Ready to Pull the Trigger. Any last-minute advice?

This. My AT generally is in this range at any “in the wild” chargers I’ve encountered. Don’t quit just because it goes below 100! I really do wish all companies would switch to 10 to 80, or even better, 20 to 80, when reporting charging speeds. Lucid and others who report “200 miles of...

    Uber-Rivian robotaxi announcement

What do we make of this, vis a vis Lucid’s and Uber’s Gravity and midsize robotaxi plans, and Lucid’s Lunar 2-seater play? Talk of 25 cities, 40,000 R2s. Larger numbers than Uber has said out loud for Lucids…...

    Lucid Investor Day - March 12, 2026

This seems backwards to me. Consumer autonomy should be easier than driverless autonomy. A consumer autonomy system can simply ask the driver to figure it out when things get confusing. I suppose some people want full L4 so they can sleep or drink or make whoopie, but won’t most of us be...

Was discoraged to see rivian’s sxsw show.

It was really striking on the map of their new locations that they weren’t filling the gaps between the current ones at all! Just increasing the density in a few areas… which seems to be needed for Service in some cases, but why not just expand staff in current locations for that? I get that...

Almost Ready to Pull the Trigger. Any last-minute advice?

I know this happens (some or a lot) to some folks, though others have posted here about winter regular winter ski trips with no issues. I live in Maine (where we had a 45 day period that only got barely above freezing on 6 intermittent days), and my frunk never had an issue—though it is...

Air + DreamDrive Pro: Were We Left Behind?

This. Mainly the first part. Actually just pushing hands-on Highway Assist (active lane keeping) as far as possible on secondary roads would make me happy I’d be far less comfortable with hands off on secondary roads anyway; way more disruptions that could be caused by stupid...
