    Home Charger Recommendation?

My Grizzle E has actually been pretty solid. The only issue has been that the recent heat wave in So Cal has pushed the charger up to its thermal limit, 50C. I've solved the issue by throttling back the amperage from 80 down to 50, but otherwise its been a great charger for me.

    Warranty expiring in November

Mostly it'll probably be things that break on any other vehicle. - Brakes (just got my car back from a parking brake failure) - Heat pumps (there's 4 of them - battery, one for each motor, and the cabin) - suspension - Electronics/computers

    Ionna rocks

EVgo keeps giving me $10 credits for some reason and so I go to one of the several near me to use them and they're always super slow. That said, on my road trip I ended up 50/50 with EA chargers working or not. Both Rivian chargers I tried were broken too. One charged at 49kW and then was...

    Ionna rocks

EVGo has been more hit than miss for me but the times I've had big issues with them has been in summer. They don't handle the heat well and EVGo like EA doesn't really care about keeping them covered \ shaded at most sites

    OTA 3.6.4

...that it is more efficient to focus the efforts on just the occupied areas. Even if it is more efficient that way, is it louder? Does trying to heat or cool just one area require higher fan speeds in order to do its job? That could (or not) be more efficient, but overall I feel less...

Aug 2026 - Air Service Experience Journal

...Even just checking it about once a week, the battery has gone down from 74% to 56% in 30 days. I'm wondering at this point if they've left the key in the car or if it's nearby inside. Or if just sitting out in the Texas heat all day is causing it to wake up and try to keep the battery cool.

    Possible frunk power strut issue.

I’ve seen some people say the interior shroud can warp and snag a little bit. Maybe the heat is causing that.

    Possible frunk power strut issue.

After servicing my frunk is now 99% good, only once it repeated this but that was after car parked under direct 115F sun. They heat soaked my car first before adjustment.

After unplugging post charging. Grinding sound after charging coming from rear passenger wheel well

The car can make various sounds from numerous places as there’s pump(s), fans, and other equipment, maybe contactors. An ICE car is simply a big heat engine.

    AC compressor.

Late 2024 Air has heat pump + old compressor, 2025 Air has heat pump + old compressor, 2026 Air has heat pump + new compressor

    AC compressor.

We need the part number from the original poster. I’m now curious if I have the same PN. If this becomes more problematic, I wonder if a preemptive replacement would save all the other AC system components from needing replacement.

    AC compressor.

I don't remember exactly when heat pumps were made standard, but this is probably mostly true. 2022 and 2023 Airs seem to be the ones with the faulty compressors.

    AC compressor.

So wait. Essentially anyone who doesn't have a heat pump has the older AC compressor proving to be problematic? Am I understanding this correctly?

    AC compressor.

    When was this replacement performed?

    AC compressor.

Depends on the service center and their willingness. Someone I know had it done ✅

    AC compressor.

Then I think they're mistaken or misspoke, as I'm pretty sure there is no conversion or retrofit offered for older Airs without the heat pump.

    AC compressor.

He described that they said it would be a conversion, not a replacement. Yours was just a replacement.

    AC compressor.

$5k or more just to have a little more winter efficiency does not seem worth it at all to me. These cars have more than enough range even in winter and the resistive heating performance is adequate, IMO.

    AC compressor.

Unless something has changed since my was replaced I highly doubt this. Attached is the the parts list from when my AC compressor failed. No mention of heat pump parts and noise/performance is the same as before.
