Signs of service motion improving? (My recent case actually not a head scratcher!)

That’s likely due to a lack of appointments within the app service window. I ran into the same issue with the Scottsdale SC last week. I had to call and was told they are booked until the 2nd week of December.

Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

My conclusions are anecdotal based on conversations with the service team and the issues reported on this site and others. One of the main selling features of EVs in general is that they don't require the level of routine maintenance and repair as ICE cars. That assumption was clearly built...

Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

Actually most of the services are related to quality issues that weren't addressed in production. Some of these are one off problems (fit and finish) while many are systemic problems (drive motors, known software deficiencies, battery failures). In some instances diagnoses and repair has to be...

    Stock Momentum

AMP-2 is key to the KSA achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. When a single investor owns roughly 60% of the company their priorities will supersede other investors.

What do you want Silvio to address at Lucid's Q3'26 earning Call

I think that's the honest take. And when we see the departures that have taken place after Rawlinson left a clearer picture starts to emerge. Hopefully the appointment of Napoli begins to stabilize things. Because the company won't accomplish its objectives if that that doesn't occur. And...

What do you want Silvio to address at Lucid's Q3'26 earning Call

I’ll give you a personal illustration of how I’ve seen this play out. I was at a large publicly traded company where the board wanted to see a more aggressive acquisition strategy. So they tasked a divisional President with acquiring three bolt on acquisitions in a three year time span...

What do you want Silvio to address at Lucid's Q3'26 earning Call

It’s a collaborative process. We have to assume that leadership and the board are aligned with the strategy. If it fails there was a flaw in the strategy or its execution.

What do you want Silvio to address at Lucid's Q3'26 earning Call

No. The board and leadership set the strategy. Some voices are louder than others particularly when they represent nearly 60% of the company ownership. Leadership is responsible for the implementation of the strategy. But if that strategy is flawed or unattainable that’s a shared...

What do you want Silvio to address at Lucid's Q3'26 earning Call

Yes. The target was set by the board and he hit it. The alternative would have been to delay the launch and the board clearly did not want that to happen. And through 3 CEO’s the board is unchanged. Expecting a change in the company’s fortune without a change at the board level is burying...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

The terms of sale would govern this. I don’t recall seeing anything suggesting that the purchase of DD Pro was a guarantee of a certain level of future vehicle autonomy. Most references refer to semi-autonomous driving which is a bit nebulous. It may have been over hyped by salespeople but...

CCCv2 upgrade for Lucid Air using points discussion

I'm guessing that Service Centers don't have the bandwidth for this at the present time given the lead time on appointments. Providing reward redemptions for the CCCv2 would likely make a bad situation worse in addressing the service backlog.

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

My recollection, from prior posts, was that CCCv2 was required for the functionality of UX 3.0. There was no mention of partial feature availability on CCCv1.

Available Vehicles Filter Changed 2026-09-19; Inventory Visibility Now Restricted by Zip Code & Unknown Proximity

I’m speculating that Lucid would prefer not having to move vehicles across country. While customers may be willing to pay transportation costs the expense becomes another negotiating point on what are discounted vehicles. The company is trying to manage cash and cost and this is likely an...

Interested in Previewing Future Lucid Air Software?

FWIW the initial invite was extended to Air owners and references Air software which suggests it is UX3 related. I have no qualms in the way it was done either.

Interested in Previewing Future Lucid Air Software?

Presumably if there was more to share it would come from Lucid not the participants. As owners we should consider the company's willingness to share this information, even with a limited audience, to be very positive.

    Gravity vs BMW iX5

BMW is giving people what they want. Being better on paper doesn’t matter if it doesn’t translate to sales. Buyers are likely going to be indifferent when it comes to the platform a vehicle is built on. BMW is leaning into the familiarity and brand loyalty customers have with the X3 and X5...

    Gravity vs BMW iX5

The question of whether a one car is better than the other is subjective and depends on the use case and expectations of the buyer. One of the reasons that Lucid struggles with service availability is build quality. Service centers are often doing QC work that should be addressed at the...

    Gravity vs BMW iX5

In the words of Tom Moloughney at State of Charge, you can go fast or you can go far, but you can’t do both.

    [email protected] NOT RESPONDING

The Southfield employees are employed by Lucid and openings for Customer Care Specialists are posted on their website. I suspect that the shift in call centers from Newark to Southfield was driven by payroll/benefits as the open positions have an hourly rate of $21-25 per hour.

    Target $0

I think it's a little of both. The continuum of robotaxis runs from the Jaguar/Waymo partnership where Jaguar did little more than provide the vehicle and Waymo did the rest, to the Cybercab model where the vehicle is designed by Tesla from the ground up. The Lucid/Nuro partnership appears to...
