A Bit of Perspective From a Long-ish Term Owner

You were chastising out of spec for not doing a software reboot on their Gravity to fix the lane centering. That’s not indicative of software working as it should. Every day we see posts involving software on the Air and Gravity not working as they should. I have two other cars in my...

Removing search box on navigation on 3.0 on Air

Good example of how one person’s annoyance is another’s feature. I personally like having the search box appear as an overlay. I find it very convenient not to have to hunt for the search function. But then again I only use navigation when I’m navigating to somewhere. Maybe I’m an outlier.

Agreed. You can’t separate Lucid’s Saudi interests from the broader KSA economy. While AMP 2 may not be a target the Houthis aim to destabilize the economy as a whole. And at present they are succeeding in doing so. It’s hard to bring a new manufacturing facility on-line when workers are...

Perhaps. But you’re expecting Lucid to create a level of brand awareness in Europe that they’ve struggled to achieve in the US over 5 years. And in less than a years time. For the company to succeed in the long term as an American company they will have to establish themselves as a volume...

Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

It is not all inconceivable that a large number of owners have had a positive experience. I get that your ownership experience has been a miserable one. Maybe that’s the fault of Lucid or maybe that’s on you. But your experience is your’s and your’s alone. And if the car is making you that...

Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

If this is what you expect from a luxury car I’m afraid you’ll be walking. There are also apps for this.

How clean are the loaner vehicles you are provided?

The loaners I’ve received have always been clean and in good condition. And given the demand at service centers lately I’ve been happy that I’ve always been able to get one. I suspect they’re turned around as soon as they get returned so I might extend Lucid a little grace if they aren’t as...

Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

Truthfully I don't pay a great deal of attention to the blind spot cameras. I find the mirrors and the blind spot warnings to be all I need. For me the improvement in the video shows up in parking. The hesitancy has been greatly improved when using the front and back cameras while parking.

If the financial narrative when Cosmos launches is still "we have enough cash to last until XX" the company will be in deep trouble. They not only need enough cash to facilitate the launch but they also have to stabilize and grow the sales organization and service network. There are simply...

First-Time EV Buyer: Looking for a Pre-Owned Air Touring (Tips on Model Years?)

Sure. If you don't want to run the climate control, know what your range is, open the glove box, change driver profiles, open the trunk/frunk from inside of the car, turn on your wipers, lights, adjust your mirrors, and a whole host of other things. You obviously have very little familiarity...

3 days out of warranty so service is my $?

When did you book your appointment? Was it well before your warranty expired? If your inability to get the vehicle serviced was due to their service center backlog I would argue that you should not be penalized. If however you waited until you were close to your warranty expiration date it...

They need a car that can be sold at volume to build a supplier base. Suppliers are brand agnostic, they simply want someone to sell to and get paid. If the volume is there the end market does not matter. The Chinese EV makers are doing quite well ignoring the US market. If the KSA believes...

The PIF’s objectives can be met with or without Lucid. The Saudi’s objective of building a state of the art manufacturing facility has been met. They’ve also acquired the knowledge of how to engineer and build cars. Lucid was merely the gateway to acquire that expertise. If they decide that...

Pre-owned Air Touring purchasing option question

If you have a VIN you can contact Lucid customer care and they should be able to tell you how the car was originally equipped. I followed that process last year when I bought my Air. As you've experienced, most dealers have no clue. The best source I've found for locating used vehicles is...

Pre-owned Air Touring purchasing option question

I find it curious that very few of the pre-owned vehicles sold by Lucid are CPO. Of the 54 that are currently available only 6 are designated CPO. And some of the non-CPO vehicles have less than 5K miles on them while there are CPO vehicles with over 20K. Since the biggest value of a CPO is...

Insurance policies routinely exclude acts of war. The investment decisions in AMP-2 were driven by the Saudis and represent a major shift in their economic priorities. I wouldn't read too much into their initial production projections as it's not indicative of what their future plans are...

First-Time EV Buyer: Looking for a Pre-Owned Air Touring (Tips on Model Years?)

Once you've satisfied yourself with the overall condition of the car, the most important factor will be the remaining factory warning. Look at the "in service" date as that will dictate when the warranty will expire. There have been instances of buyers acquiring somewhat older models with...

Cox Automotive Q3 EV Sales Report

A RWD Air GT with NACS would be an entirely new car given the engineering changes required. And the large sedan market, at any price point, is a shrinking one. Dominating that market would be like having the best selling convertible.

Middle East geopolitical conflicts have been specifically called out in Lucid’s 10-K risk factors. It stands to reason that those risks are greater today. It would be naive to think otherwise.

Unless the company substantiated this through cancelled orders it’s purely speculative. Of course rumors have an impact on the company. But the circumstances that give rise to those rumors are largely self-inflicted. Telling customers that you have enough money to get you into the next year...
