Another world first: large 22/23” wheel with an aftermarket tire

I think load-range is the main thing to watch out for. EVs are heavy and fast.

Lot of people have issues, some minor and others major. But your tagline says it all! Wish I saw that more often.💯

ZR1X vs. Sapphire (TL;DW: Sapphire takes the win)

Sorry to extend this posting, but I can now confirm that Lucid vectors torque front and back on the dual motors (!) as well as laterally on the tri-motor Sapphire. This comes from Eric Bach Inverter Tech Talk minute 22:00, which I find personally find interesting. Potentially, if your vehicle...

Another world first: large 22/23” wheel with an aftermarket tire

Really glad you posted those numbers. Many thanks. If you have ever found yourself on a freeway engaged in a smoking, sliding, emergency panic stop, those last 5-10 feet are everything. And even if you don't quite make it down to a complete halt, your impact energy is vastly less. Good stuff.

ZR1X vs. Sapphire (TL;DW: Sapphire takes the win)

Well, kinda not which is the point. With traction control active, the instant (1/1000 sec) slip is detected, the inverter limits current until traction is restored so we do not know using 1/4 times and mass. If TC is disabled, the wheels simply spin so no calculations work in that case. So...

Lots of well-informed information in these posts. Not to linger too long off-topic, but some more explanations and lots of links worth following here regarding the future state of automobiles in the US...

    Question on using Cross Bars

If there is room, maybe use vise grips to squeeze the white plastic around the nut-zerts to stop the spinning so you can recover.

    Gravity V3.5.7

You seem to ask this every 10 minutes; you know they release in batches, right? Not all owners at once. Here are two websites to keep you informed: https://lucidtracker.app/softwaredeployment https://www.lucidupdates.com/ota-updates/ota-updates-gravity.html Register your vehicle at both so...

ZR1X vs. Sapphire (TL;DW: Sapphire takes the win)

Not altogether sure where Lucid got it's tongue-in-cheek numbers: 1234 hp -- Somebody here more conversant that me observed this is possibly an Elon troll based upon a Spaceballs reference 1111 hp -- No idea, maybe because Plaid was dyno'ed at 1101 so 10 better...

ZR1X vs. Sapphire (TL;DW: Sapphire takes the win)

One of the recent magazine articles (Youtube) wanted to compare a Sapphire to a Plaid and went to Tesla for a test vehicle; I believe they already had a Sapphire. I had no idea that Tesla so carefully curated those performance numbers. They had to give pre-approval for the drag strip (turned...

Regretfully, no go on your new term. Politicians already appropriated that one for our governing bodies. 🤣

    Air Version 2.9.0

The term comes from electronics; I have used it much of my working career. [Definitely not the "value of a brick"] It means you have screwed up so much that you are totally locked out of an electronic device, with no hope of recovery ever. There is no way to access the electronics from the...

ZR1X vs. Sapphire (TL;DW: Sapphire takes the win)

I doubt if we will ever know, but it is a little fun to keep them hidden. One Emad interview had him saying the motors are good for 675hp *sustained* because of careful thermal design on the inverter. So, lots of headroom if they ever need a few more ponies... :p

    New member from FL

Shop around. I was a very-long-time customer of State Farm and one agent told me my internal score was 19/20, and it was only the second time he had seen one that high. 39 years and I was on some kind of "never deny" list with lifetime renewal options. They quoted me $4K. USAA quoted me...
