Air Pure vs Grand Touring in 2026

I love that this car has so many expressions. For me, the Touring was always going to be the perfect balance (though I still long for those massage seats) between power and comfort. But I totally get why Pure owners love their Pures. It is a different experience driving the RWD version for sure...

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

If someone wants to sue Lucid over this, have fun with that. You’ll make at least one lawyer rich. Meanwhile, it does sound like they are at least not planning on scrapping the project. Which means it was likely far enough along that it still makes sense to release. Good. In that case, I...

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

That’s good to hear. I know it was on track to be out before year’s end before Emad and Marc left. Hadn’t heard anything since.

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

Let’s try and keep threads on topic, please? I, for one, to get back on topic, no longer expect UX 3.0 for my Air. I would not be surprised if that were put on the chopping block by the new CEO. I’d love to be pleasantly surprised and end up being wrong about that.

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I thought this was a thread about 3.0 for the Air. Silly me. It’s just another Tesla thread. Ugh.

How's the service experience at San Jose?

I will also shout out San Jose. Millbrae is closer, and thus I’ve had more interactions with that team. But when Millbrae was overwhelmed recently, I took it down to San Jose, and they treated me very well. Great team.

    Kim Java - Preview Gravity?

There's definitely a massive assumption on the part of FSD fans that no one wants to actually drive anymore. The numbers don't bear that out. At all. Sure, Tesla sells a lot of Model Y. But millions of people are buying non-Teslas every year at the same time. If EVERYONE can't live without...

    Gravity GT-S

The Air GT-P wasn’t originally meant to be limited edition. But then they sold some, and once they hit a certain amount, they declared it done. I suspect the same will be true for Gravity GT-S. Allow those who missed out on DE to essentially get the same thing. But then close it down once...

Lots of Gravity inventory in Miami World Center garage.

I'm 6'2" and I've never hit my head getting into the car. My seat is set as low as it will go, though. And I get in at an angle. And I use my legs for what they were meant for—holding my body up as it reposition it. If you just drop in with zero resistance in your legs like you are letting...

    Air software version 2.10.0

Wow. Haven’t gotten that one for a very long time. That’s one of those startup sequence issues, usually. Try a nuke reset, rather than just a logo reset. Not sure that’s really any different, but worth a shot.

    Lucid Cosmos Specifications

They could have always had two pack sizes in mind. Or they could have designed it to be flexible, given they weren’t sure of the efficiency of Atlas at the time of development. Something like the number of battery modules is a decision made when laying out the actual trims, not pre-prototype...

    Lucid Cosmos Specifications

Absolutely. But that’s why those cars are more expensive than Lucid’s stated goal of hitting $50k as a starting price. And a smaller pack can be “filled” as fast as a larger one, despite the lower voltage, simply because it’s smaller. The 10-80% numbers on the GT and Touring are similar.

    Lucid Cosmos Specifications

I can’t see them putting a larger battery than Air Touring into Cosmos. That’s 92 kWh. Air is heavier and Atlas motors are more efficient, so I can see them easily getting at least the same 425 mi claimed range of Air Touring with that. Probably closer to 450. A thousand years ago, when Peter...

    Air software version 2.10.0

I'd also argue the new graphic, along with being ugly, is actually harder to grok than the old one. which showed a lovely picture of the seats arranged as one would expect.

    Air software version 2.10.0

No and no. It's not only for Pures. And I don't have it yet for my Touring. Am I the only one who had zero trouble figuring out who didn't have their seat belt on before? That new graphic is fugly as all get out.

Took 2K mile road trip, now looking to sell Gravity

Yes, if I had my druthers, Lucid would always be thought of as a more practical Porsche, rather than a more luxurious Tesla. But Lucid itself seems to want to chase Tesla's success, rather than being satisfied with being a niche "driver's" brand. I get it; needing to make back all that...

Took 2K mile road trip, now looking to sell Gravity

This really does boil down to different strokes for different folks. Lucid is not Tesla. It’s not a Tesla replacement. Full stop. For some of us, that’s a very good thing. For some of us, it is not. I never use Lucid’s nav. I do my own fast charging planning. I only occasionally use Dream...

Is The 2027 Air Announcement Imminent?

Air has the voltage. But that’s the problem. Most Superchargers don’t. It’s down voltage that’s the problem. And yes, it would be a major lift to do that for Air.

Is The 2027 Air Announcement Imminent?

Lucid seems to be moving away from custom orders and pushing inventory cars heavily. Also, please don’t get your hopes up for the future of Air. Lucid just doesn’t have the time or money to invest in a car that at best will sell 6-10k units per year. And at a loss at that. Any significant...

    Lucid and iOS 27 compatibility?

My advice would always be to at least wait a few weeks for the public beta. If you feel you really want to try something before it’s quite ready. The developer beta is really for developers. So they can get enough time to test their own apps against the new system before the public starts...
