Sorry I have a Gen 1 Rivian R1T and I had a 2017 Tesla Model S, 100D. Lucid's software team definitely doesn't know what it is doing. I get a different experience every time I attempt to drive my Gravity. This is not confidence inspiring.

Mine is similar to what you describe....5-10 seconds or so. I know I'm good to go when I see the speed limit sign displayed. It seems no two startup sequences are alike though, which really makes me wonder what in the heck is going on with this car's tech stack?

Interesting that you make a distinction between "software" and "engineering". With EV's in particular they are inextricably co-dependent. You cannot really "engineer" an EV without giving equal attention to the software as we're all finding out.

Here's some facts. This car should be much better at this price point and at this point in it's development and delivery cycle. Tesla and Rivian never needed to advertise because the products spoke for themselves.

I drive a DE and did get two key cards. The delivery process was weird and they clearly were already struggling with the key/access/profile issues. In retrospect I could've refused to take delivery.....alas the car is so damned beautiful! I just wished it operated as great as it looks!

I never received a 2nd fob and I also never got a "due bill" for one. Does Lucid owe me a 2nd key fob?

I've noticed this as well and figured it happens when first driving in changing light conditions like dusk or dawn. It seems to settle in when the screen approximates the ambient light outside and the HUD screen effectively "disappears" leaving the driving data floating in space.

I would give the Gravity some time to breath and see if it mellows. Also I'm not sure from your description that your household is ready for an EV. Maybe start with the PHEV, because charging can be a challenge for some.

While I appreciate and agree with what you are saying, I do think it's unfair to lump Tesla in with Lucid. This is not that. I'm not a Tesla super-fan either but realistically there's no comparison.

My wife refuses to drive my Gravity. It left her stranded twice in our first week of ownership. She prefers our 13 year old Ford Flex to my Gravity Dream Edition. That should tell Lucid something right there if they are listening. Great design, absolutely awful execution.
