I had a field service visit today for my Air, arranged through the Beverly Hills service center, for the new processor upgrade, a seat repair, and a trim repair.

The process was easy. I left a message, received a return call within 24 hours, and scheduled an appointment about 3½ weeks out. That was fine with me, since none of the issues were urgent. Anthony, the field technician, was very good—attentive, helpful, and communicative. He also confirmed that a good portion of the Beverly Hills team was already working on setting up the new DTLA service center, with service management adjustments underway at both locations and new staff coming aboard. In light of so much negativity about Lucid service, I wanted to share some tangible evidence that Lucid is working to expand its service resources.

Does any one know when the DTLA service center will be opening and what location it will be at?

Looks to be the following (anticipated opening in November 2026):
1800 S Figueroa St
Los Angeles 90015

I was told it might be a bit later than November, but they are working at site to get things set up

I just had my CCCV2 installed at my home by the mobile tech (Bradley) who did a great and professional job. We were talking and I mentioned that my CCCV2 appointment happened pretty quickly (about a week from scheduling) and he said that Lucid is opening another service center in Mission Viejo and Lucid is already doing work out of that location and it should be going live in November. He also said that they hired 30 more techs; hopefully this means that service wait times will reduce for those of us in the OC and IE.

... my service access experience is amazingly poor. No one calls back, the recall notice has been ignored by my local service center and the excuse of being busy is not acceptable. I called when the recall went out and have made several calls. No one ever calls back. This is why I simply gave up on even trying to go there. I do have an appointment in a month but I had to make it at the end of July for November ...
Which center?
Costa Mesa California
I had a similar experience to @PKress (mentioned in another thread) with the difficulty getting a hold of someone at the Costa Mesa service center - called repeatedly at all hours on and off between September and October, left call back requests, left voicemails, never received a response.

Yesterday I called again and was surprised to have someone actually answer the phone. This individual was very helpful and was actually based out of another location to help Costa Mesa out. If anyone is curious, as of late October, Costa Mesa is currently scheduling about 2 months out in mid-December. I am glad to hear service options will be expanded in this area.

I have a laundry list of things I'm looking forward to having addressed on my Nov 2025 build date car, and will report back with the quality of service and repair in time. I am not demanding perfection, just that things work like they should:
  • annual service
  • trunk latch scraping
  • raised plastic trim under windshield that keeps pulling driver's side wiper blade insert out
  • wiper fluid reservoir that empties completely when rear washer is activated, leaking out from under passenger side of car
  • windows that intermittently go down when commanded to go up
  • navigation position that gets stuck frequently even after reboots and sleeps
  • rear driver's side rim aero cover (22" Orion) with loose blades (aka "spokes") that won't stay clipped in
  • 2nd row seat recall
  • key fob button unlock/open frunk/open trunk doesn't really work as expected when approaching a sleeping car (fob battery life and walk up unlock has been rock solid otherwise)
I have other concerns about the car but they seem relatively nitpicky and I did not really feel like raising them as service issues as the list for this service is already long enough. Could probably chalk these things up to an early ownership penalty:
  • poor interior door seal fitment/creasing at corners
  • front light bar looking splotchy
  • whistling sound at moderate speed (~35 mph), not from HVAC
  • rear spoiler on the hatch is noticeably proud of the glass roof
  • loud 2nd row motors
  • 2nd row EZ entry button that doesn't work consistently for getting people into/out of the 3rd row - possible user error?
