Target $0

As for the experience you related, I for one would never initiate FSD in areas where there are no lane markings. It’s simply unreasonable to expect the system to navigate areas like that. Certainly in the NY area that’s a use case I’ve never seen. Even faded lane markings at night are handled with ease by FSD.
Many neighborhoods don’t have any lane markings at all, and I live in Cupertino; it’s not exactly Kansas. :P

FWIW, Waymo navigates these neighborhoods perfectly fine.

If the claim is “door to door,” then “avoid roads without lane markers” cannot be a caveat when so many neighborhoods have no lines.

What can I tell you, we don’t have many main roads like that in NY, at least not in populated NY/LI. Actually, as I think about it, the roads in my condo development don’t have lines either and it’s never had an issue navigating.

I would absolutely expect Waymo to do things a Tesla can’t do with all their additional protuberances, ding dongs and gear. I don’t think that ‘look’ would sell on a mainstream EV regardless of effectiveness. 😉

To EV makers, sure, although I'd argue it shouldn't have been there at all. And certainly not for decades. If it had to exist, they should have left the first one in place IMO as it's structure was more reasonable and logical ($1.5B to each manufacturer as a boost to get them into the EV game). Once they used up their 200,000 credits, they're in the game, so take the training wheels off. I just would have added a sunset date to the whole program (around 2025).

(Hoping our 2 posts didn't just open the door to a whole tax credit policy/politics discussion like tends to happen as soon as it's brought up.)
This is interesting, as IIRC the only reason Tesla was making money in the mid 2010's was because Tesla was able to sell the ICE car makers Tesla's EV credits (they were actually called ZEV and GHG/CAFE credits, the first for California and the later is federal). See https://www.businessinsider.com/tes...credits-to-general-motors-fiat-chryser-2019-6 According to the Business Insider link this gave Tesla $1.7B dollars in cash which I don't think Rivian/Lucid are getting

I didn't see this posted already, but maybe I missed in. Anyway, 3 leadership hirings two weeks ago. Maybe they're all holed up in a retreat somewhere planning out a new path forward? I suppose that would be a positive spin on why the company seems like it's gone largely dark in recent weeks.

Closer to $4, hope target will not be set to $3’s. This is bad really really bad.
Lucid still want to sit silent on Cosmos, talk nothing, show nothing but i know many will say they are doing many things. But their market is not saying so.

I think they're done. I mean what would it look like, even if they launched the Cosmos and it was a huge hit, they can't service them, they are backlogged forever with what little service they have. And then what? The Air is old, the Gravity was a flop. Assuming the Cosmos nails it, I don't see how that changes anything in their future. A company with a single popular car? Maybe that's why Winterhoff was trying to pivot to licensing their tech to other companies-he knew even the Cosmos won't save this company. They have 2 models. A third wont save them and I can't think of any other company, EV or otherwise, that survived on 3 models. Why would anyone invest in that? I'm very suspect about that Saudi prince that suddenly invested 2 Billion in LCID-that looked like a bailout to me.

If they only have the cash to make it "well in to 2027", that's a bad thing, and their bravado in bragging about that shows how clueless they are.

Their money tree, PIF/Saudis, are now fighting a proxy war on two fronts, they already got rid of LIV, I'm sure other hobby/charisma projects are going to take a hit too.

Did anything changed with Lucid every week. Yes its same story, going down and down so i have to talk the same thing too ☹️
Correct, nothing has changed at Lucid since last week. Why would that prompt you to post the same sky-is-falling post as last week? The stock price declining, again, is not indicative of any progress they have or have not made towards achieving their stated goals because, as you said, they have not provided any updates.

Lets check the value of Lucid since cciv, reverse split and today. Yes as a investor since CCIV days, this is a sky has fallen situation rather than is falling.

$10 pre split to near $4 post split, 96% down and we still have to say Lucid is great?

Ok, you didn't address my question

Does anyone else secretly wish Apple would buy Lucid and make the best possible effing car ever? The engineering combined with Apple software...
It's not that the software itself is bad, it's how the software integrates with all the hardware. That's all still Lucid, even if Apple were writing the code. Not sure that would change a whole lot, other than of course having deeper pockets and more resources.

I still have hope that Lucid will get this turned around, but I've gotta admit the odds appear to be getting worse rather than better. The recent reports of ghostings by Customer Care are quite concerning, along with the spiraling delays to get service done, or even scheduled. I can only hope the relative silence is a sign that the new leadership team is just locked behind closed doors working on some grand plan to turn this all around. 🙏

Are you seriously suggesting that is impossible that Lucid could possibly improve service in the next year (at least) it'll be before Cosmos is ready to sell in large numbers? You really think it's that far fetched? Because if you really believed that you'd be shorting the stock like mad.

I believe it 80% and i dont sort Lucid. Believe me, i have nearly 20k pre split and 25k stocks post split.
