OP, sorry for your trouble. I was pretty frustrated with my Gravity for a while, but it has gotten a lot better in recent months, to the point where most issues have been forgotten. The glitches I have at this point are mostly quite minor. A couple points of solidarity, agreement, and contrast:
- I also had my coolant pump replaced with the drive system warning. Lucid was quite good about that repair - they towed my car and towed it back from my home.
- I also live ~2 hours from a service center and it's a huge pain in the ass. I've needed quite a few service appts and it's miserable to have to drive down and back TWICE for each appointment, and they're not super fast. They're nice, but just overloaded.
- My car was crazy buggy at first, so many warnings, so much trouble just getting into the damn vehicle. But I haven't had an entry glitch in about 2 months now. Well, other than the fact that the key fob buttons may or may not work. I don't have a ton of cause to use them, but i can never seem to open the trunk with the buttons....
- The HUD still sucks.
- The hands-free calling is miles better, but not perfect.
- I also hate the steering wheel buttons. Others swear there's knack to them, and I supposedly know what that knack is, but man, they are finicky.
- But I have to admit I kind of love the car. It drives so well, and it has so much room, and the range and charging are perfect for me. Within the last week, I car camped in my gravity with my wife, hauled a ton of crap to a large event I co-host that usually requires a pickup truck, and moved my kid into college a 2-hour drive each way from home with all her stuff, no problem. There really isn't anything else out there like it.
I'd still choose Gravity, but nobody should go in with blinders on.
