For my money, he's the best reviewer on YouTube. Lots of praise but also highlights some issues with trim fitment, cabin noise levels (when compared to other 3-row EVs), and an issue with the 2nd row seats design that digs into his lower back. And he dings Lucid for not achieving their claimed efficiency.

Good video. Watched this one last night.

Aside: I think this post is a perfect example of why negatives tend to proliferate, and positives don’t as much. The entire set of praise was simply “lots of praise,” but the individual drawbacks were called out.

OP did absolutely nothing wrong, and LOTS of people do this, including myself at times. But it is a good indicator of why negatives get talked about more and positives just sort of get “washed out” fairly often.

It’s just good to remember, and I know it’s off topic and unrelated (I haven’t even watched the video yet). I’m just thinking out loud.

1.07M subscribers too!
I pay a lot of attention to his reviews - thoughtful and informed with excellent comparisons.

Talk about the way to appeal to the family market: I love how he describes the frunk as making a good diaper changing station. That had never occurred to me as a potential use before. Not that I'm eager to be changing diapers at this point!

I thought it was a good even review. Only thing I think he should look at is the "meh" score he gave it for charging on Tesla network. OoS and Stacey of Charge have done the comparison directly of how much longer it takes to charge an bc of the strong curve, it's only about 5 minutes longer on Tesla. It's why I don't particularly care if I can get a 400kw charger or not on a road trip. It'll charge quickly either way.

And didn't mention that it charges faster that a Tesla on Tesla's own network.

Important to keep in mind he was testing a Touring, not a GT. So charging would be slower than it was for OOS. Just a matter of voltage.

I just watched the video, and it's quite good. And in the video he praises the software and says not one bad thing about it. But that doesn't stop people from coming into the comments and complaining about software and keyfobs. So it's even worse than you're saying: people have to go out of their way to post outmoded negative takes. I guess the lesson is: never read the comments. But look at me -- I buried this eternal wisdom in a comment!

I haven't watched the video yet but the Gravity is just about the quietest car I've ever driven. Did he get a Gravity without the Tech Package?
He's the only reviewer I've ever heard of say anything negative about cabin noise. That's been a constant on every review on how quiet it's been. So I gotta wonder if it was the spec he had or is it an issue with a seal or something.

He must not have the Comfort/convenience pkg...it's eerily quite if you ask me

Not tech, comfort and convenience is probably what he didn’t get. Thats what really makes the cabin like a vault.

My Grand Touring has noticeable motor whine, depending on speed and other conditions.
It's cool enough now that I turned everything off the audio and HVAC and started hearing more motor whine as well. But that is not normally how I drive.
