- Lucid Gravity GT 2026
Hey all,
New Lucid Gravity 2026 GT owner here. Dream Drive Premium, Dynamics Package, Tahoe leather, 20/21" wheels, 3-row.
Coming from Bay Area, California. I wanted a three-row that could make it to the mountains for skiing while also being small enough to get into my tiny two-car garage. It certainly satisfies the second condition, and it seems from other members on this forum that it can satisfy the first. Looking forward to my first ski trip up to Tahoe in it this winter - with any luck the range should make the drive up without much drama.
Coming from a Polestar 2, and after having test driven the Rivian R1S/R2, Hyundai Ioniq 5/9, and Volkswagen ID. Buzz, I was extremely impressed with just how much utility Lucid offers within its size category. The additional range over its competition and getting to Tahoe in one shot was enough to sell me on the Grand Touring edition. Everything else has just felt like a bonus. The cabin is quiet, the wife loves the seats, and the car is genuinely fun to drive in ways I wasn't fully expecting from something this practical.
Since the switch, the range and extent of all the little car quirks I was subconsciously dealing with in my previous car has been surprising. I think I had a little bit of Stockholm syndrome and assumed that all of these highly connected iPad-on-wheels type EVs were glitchy and that was just something you had to deal with, but instead my experience has been the opposite. The Gravity has been extremely solid for me since software version 3.6.0. The infotainment system has just worked, and aside from restarting itself while the car is parked, I haven't noticed any of the complaints I saw reviewers expose in previous software versions. All features and mechanical components have otherwise been solid.
One thing I have noticed: the vehicle will (very briefly) alarm over the propulsion system or the steering system, complain that it needs an immediate service appointment, but then the error will wink out as quickly as it came. Are these anything to be worried about? Curious if anyone else has seen these pop up and whether dealers have any real answer for them, or if it's just something to live with.
