Well, I have been a very loyal early adopter Lucid Air participant. My car has relatively few issues and I have given kudos to Scottsdale for their great service. Ive tried to avoid all the chaff thrown up by disgruntled drivers. I have spent the last few days trying to get my car serviced prior to going off warranty. Can’t talk to anyone, cant leave a message. Best you can do is leave a call back which is not happening. That to me is scary. I dont have any issues other than routine service. But cant even get it scheduled. I have started looking around for alternatives. Tomorrow I go and drive a Porsche Cayenne EV. I lack the patience for this. Why has this happened?

And so it goes….

If you live in Scottsdale, why don't you simply go to the service center, walk in the door, and talk to them?

My wife called the Scottsdale service center last week to ask a question, and they answered right away.

That’s the plan for tomorrow.

I live 5 miles away from the Scottsdale SC. I never call the service line. I just go and talk to them. The people there are nice and courteous. That said, booking a service appointment is stilla challenge. I was there about 10 days ago and enquired about booking a regular service appointment for my 2022 AGT. There is a 4 monthlead-time!

The issue is not the SC personnel perse. It is Lucid Corporate. The new C-suite has been in place for almost 2 months now. They better get things moving!

The past leadership cut service to save a few cents….thats what happened. But they are gone now, thankfully, and hopefully new CEO and his team can right the ship.

Yep. Frankly, I'm glad Cosmos got delayed by a year. They have their hands full now just trying (and presently failing) to provide timely service to their existing fleet.

I know they need revenue from Cosmos sales, but they ain't gonna make it that far if they don't get service addressed. Their reputation is sinking with each new report of month long waits to get in and 3 weeks out of service when it finally does get picked up. And that's if you can even get through to them at all. Too many reports of customers being completely ghosted. All that screams "a company that may not be here next year".

I'm not saying that's gonna happen, but it's the perception it often leaves when you can't get through to someone and the wait is super long even if you do. Word gets around. Not many buyers gonna be willing to take the risk if that reputation builds.

I’m really sorry to hear about these service issues - it makes me nervous for the company. My service center is Rocklin, Ca and they’re been great. I almost always get someone on the phone the first call and the service has been overall really good. Perhaps they are not as busy compared to other service centers.

Rocklin is great customer service, but poor repairs in my experiences.

That is a drag! So far (knock on wood) I haven’t had any issues with the few repairs I’ve had. I had the top screen replaced and recently a new drivers seat installed. Both were probably relatively straightforward procedures.

In my case it’s been a specific repair that two service centers haven’t been able to do or stay done, so I’m assuming it’s some sort of build issue idk.

I sure hope you can get it resolved. I’d be very frustrated.

Both service centers requested buyback. Lucid refused the first buy back and ignored the second request so I have taken the next steps. The last resolution they offered was to ship it to a 3rd, temporary service location and try for the 7th time after 4 months in shops in 2 other states.

Anyways. Rocklin is great customer service still, so was Seattle!

Unfortunately, that is becoming the only way to deal with folks. My urological practice has such a terrible phone system that I never call...I just get in my car and drive over there. But it shouldn't have to be this way.

Yep. For the lucky (or prescient) few that live close to one of the handful of service centers, they're in much better shape.

For everyone else, well...

Here is some follow up to my original post. I went to the Scottsdale facility and they had 3 advisors working - 2 on their computers and 1 talking to me. Tried to see the scheduler but couldn’t - they did contact me later with an appt in November.

I did drive the Cayenne I mentioned. Not for me at all. It’s 2 pedal driving and minimal regen breaking - especially compared to the Lucid. Man I hope the company makes it. It’s such a great car but I’m getting to where I need an SUV but the Gravity is such a monster.

This seems to be a widespread current issue with service, and it could really hurt Lucid at a time when the company should be working to maintain customer loyalty. After 34 months of being well taken care of by Beverly Hills, it has become now difficult to find anyone in the service department. They are overwhelmed, and it is creating collateral damage to the brand.

That's my issue with the Cayenne as well, I don't like an EV that drives like an ICE vehicle. I have high hopes for the iX5 though...

I'll tag this on to an existing service thread.
I am approaching 12k miles, so I wanted to see about getting mobile service scheduled for the 12k inspection. This afternoon, I called the Scottsdale service center. The phone was answered on the third ring by a service advisor. I told them what I wanted and they said yes, Mobile service can do the inspection, but they are now requiring a coolant flush and replacement with a different kind of coolant, and that has to be done at the service center. I pointed out that about 5 months ago, the coolant manifold was replaced and a coolant flush was done then. They said that if the new coolant was already installed, the mobile service could indeed do the inspection at my home. They needed to verify with service, and they would call me back. Within the hour, I got a call back verifying that I already had the new coolant and was good to go. We scheduled the mobile service about a month out from now (at my request), and we are all set. Cost will be a little over $350.
I can't ask for much better than that.

I’m still getting ‘press 1’ for call back. What phone number are you using? I actually wasn’t aware the mobile service was back in action. Maybe they can’t do the 3-4 yr inspection with mobile - they schedule me for late November on site and leave the car.
