Just curious if it's missing from everyone's or just mine, but the "moving over to make room" message does not come up when in Hands-Free for my car. It's hard to tell, but I don't think it's moving over...maybe slightly. I checked my setting and it's turned on and I've reset several times.

(I have a bike rack on back that disables lane changes, but wouldn't think that would affect this.)

(..it might if the camera that helps it judge the vehicle's position in the lane was blocked by the rack??; Maybe/Maybe not)

Mine works great!

Thanks, All. I have an appt next week...might take bike rack off just to see if it works without.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that particular message before
Under what conditions does it occur

When you are driving next to a big rig, it says 'moving over....', the feature is called adaptive lane biasing. My car does it all the time as expected.

Just do be clear, the OP is saying they reset the setting by toggling? Or resetting the car computer, maybe its just a DD display glitch?

Hmmm I must not be patient
If I’m hands free and someone slides towards me I instinctively shift to a safe place over, back, or forward. I’ve never waited to see what the car would do.

This is a Gravity feature btw, or DDpro3, hopefully it also gets to the Air.

Me either. But I didn't think my Air had this capability, so I'm willing to check it out. Maybe 😬

Okay, to finish this test: I removed the bike rack (and turned off accessory setting) and right away, on the highway, it worked both moving over for a semi AND the warning saying "making room..."

So with a bike rack (and accessory setting turned on):
1-It won't use backup sensor for distance warnings
2-It won't allow automatic lane changes (even if you tell it to change lanes)
3-It disables the Adaptive Lane Biasing

Let me know if anyone finds different results with another rack. Mine is a QuikRStuff Mach 2. Hopefully they allow the ALB with a software upgrade as road trips are a common time to have bikes on the back...and the a common time to be passing semi's regularly.
