Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

The chip was the enabler and I don't think anyone would have bought the chip without the promise (yes, it was a promise) for 3.0. We could go round. and round, and as I said, you are entitled to your opinion. Yes, no one forced us to buy it, and that is an irrelevant point. Check wth Volvo on how their case is going with a promise of Lidar they did not deliver. They are offering increasing settlements in that case, and the litigants aren't folding. Anyway, this isn't productive. I and hundreds of others were told the chip was needed for the software update. We purchased on that basis. I'm sure the update will get delivered (who knows when). It's in Lucid's best interest to get their cars on the same basic OS.
Yeah, you need the new chip if and when UX3.0 comes out. They never said upgrade to get UX3.0. They said UX3.0 won’t work on 1st generation chip.

Don’t know why you are upset at your own optimism.

I'm not upset. I have just pointed out what I was told. I spent the money on their advice. The other improvements the chip makes to the current software are negligible.

So it looks like you've satisfied yourself that Lucid never claimed that FSD was imminent in the Air. I would agree that "advanced autonomous driving, capability over time, partial autonomy" is exactly what the Air has accomplished. If you bought your 25 AGT with DDP you likely had these features at purchase or shortly thereafter. Maybe you should have held out for a vehicle with Level 4 capabilities. But that was never going to be the Air. But if you’re left wanting more there are options available.
Wasn't expecting autonomous driving like a Robotaxi. Was expecting (and told) that the car would steer, navigate, stop and change lanes in the city like most Level 3 systems. Curious as to the need for LIDAR and cameras if you don't use them.

Forget about this, we would be extremely lucky if we can get the Halo, R3.0 and V2H 😂
Lucid already said, suckers no more autonomy for Air(Even on 2027 cars).

I'll take the UX 3.0 upgrade please. The last thing I need is HALO recording me asking Claude AI why the Lucid AI is so stupid.

I feel like their advanced tech really...wasn't. Major manufactures get just about the same efficiency now. What else do they have? DreamDrive? Right.
At the time, their sensor suite that included lidar was pretty advanced. That was super uncommon for consumer vehicles. It still is for consumer vehicles in the US.

'22 AGT at launch was advertised as having all the hardware needed for L3 (yes, I noticed they did no say software) ....

Hindsight hurts.

I’m not an automotive engineer but I’m passingly familiar with control systems
And I’m pretty certain the air has all the hardware needed for l3 driving
Now the real question is can it or parts of it be opened source?
My tdi was altered and there’s no code available outside Audi so it all depends if there’s enough interest. Now I’d watch a YouTuber trying to hack and improve self driving cars. All the sensors are there and that would help more people than a single person.

Not sure what you're talking about here. My AGT drives itself on the highway.
no it doesn't. your car has cruise control and stays in its lane. full stop. it doesn't change lanes without you doing something and doesn't know where its going

@marqie just posted a link to sign up to learn about potential new Air software

Good points. I'd like to restate by saying this: if there's a feature really important to you in a car, make sure the car you buy already has it.
200%

So I guess when that person was told we’re getting UX3 in September, what he meant was we’re getting a preview of what might be UX3, which might come to our cars someday. Cool.

It does seem a bit...hypothetical...in her message. Not a solid as here is preview of what is coming on x date. But nice to see any signs of life and focus on the Air at this point, however nebulous it may be.
