My experience with Lucid Air Pure and Lucid Gravity GT so far and a question

I leased Lucid Air Pure (3 year) and returned last month. Except for some minor issues here and there I was very happy with it. Only complaint (reason for switching to Gravity) that it was difficult to get in and out. I had a pre-inspection before Lease return. They found couple of issues (right front rim - $900) and driver side mirror scratch ($380). I got right front rim fixed and turned in my Air few weeks back. I got estimate for wear and tear of $1919 (added front cuts in right front and rear tires (2X0.1 inch and 1X0.5 inch - total $900) and reduced my right front wheel to $200 and added 1X8 inch scratch on front bumper for $819.48. My car was in excellent shape (I managed to put under 25,000 miles) and I wonder where all this damage appeared in 1 month of driving. They sent me report in mail but you can not make anything out in pictures because of poor quality and online report available is pre-inspection report.
The good part is they are waiving $450 termination charge and giving me giving credit of $1000 for excess wear and tear.
So where I think should have been charged $300 based on pre-inspection I am being charged $900 inspite of loyalty credit. I do not think $600 is a big deal especially considering the stories I have heard, but I the experience left a bad taste.
Gravity has been good so far (driving for about a month).
Overall good experience no major complaints but I am hesitant to recommend when friends ask me based on my lease return experience.

Unfortunately your relationship with Lucid and BOA are not one in the same. And while I don't know the details of your lease, the economics have generally been less than favorable for BOA given where the residual value was set on many of these leases. That's certainly not your problem but may be a motivating factor as the bank tries to claw back losses.

What did your wheels look like? I have curb rash on all four wheels and am contemplating having them fixed before returning. I, too, have the $1,000 credit, but not sure if that'll cover it.

Having seen the cost of wheels I’m very careful

Me and my friend bothe got Gravity Touring two weeks ago. His was lease and mine was financed. He indicated that lease return inspection was fine but Luxid send him a bill of $2600 due to minor rock dents in the front hood that, obviously, no body can avoid. Plus, a tiny ding on a windshield that’s barely visible. I thought Lucid took care of lease return issue but apparently not. He and I are both concerned when we return the lease of Gravity. This definitely is leaving a bad taste and he isn’t going to lease another Lucid. He has been loyal Lexus customer.

I have no rock dents on my front hood. I think it’s plenty avoidable, or fixable.

Perhaps you’ve already seen this and Lucid’s assertions are above and beyond what is in their guidance.

For the record here, I have no experience with a lease turn-in.

I totally understand leasing, especially with EVs and the dropping like a rock of values and new tech refreshes and all but leasing is just such a mess with generally most makers. I just buy bc I want to fully enjoy it and either I eat the depreciation if I'm ready to move on or ride it till the wheels fall off. So far, just a year in now, but last 5/6 months with Gravity has been really good and I'm now more tempted to ride it till the wheels fall off. Nothing on market in 2026/2027 for the same price range is even really close to tempting me. Of course things could change, maybe the Genesis is just that damn good, or the Cayenne or something else in the pipe. For now, super happy to sit tight and keep enjoying my Gravity.

Me neither.
I think it’s due to FB color. I should said the it’s dings but not dents. Anyways, whenever I have leases it, any thing more than a dime gets charged. These were not even visible to naked eyes.
