2023 Lucid AT Black
This may have been answered already , I searched and could not find an answer
I just Bought a used 2023 AT from Lucid. I just noticed that the rear window as a Distortion on the top 4 inch where the objects specifically Cars looked like they are squashed or compressed view. I spoje to Lucid and they said all cars come like that. Just wondering if any of you have this issues. I am 100% sure that the 2023 Lucid Pure I had before didn't have it. If you noticed it can you share if Lucid fixed this for you?

This is normal, and mine does this too. Apparently there is a newer rear windshield that doesn’t do this, but it is considered normal for the Air, so it’s unlikely they’ll replace it unless it cracks/breaks.

Unfortunately, our rear window was replaced due to the trunk hinge cracking the glass. This is another story that I am trying to post but the new window is not distorted like the original window--so something positive came out of replacing the window that was a repair beyond just the window due required parts.

Same here! Just got a 26 Touring and I have the same issue.

I have the same issue in my 24 Touring as well – got used to it after a while and it didn't really bother me too much.

This seems more pronounced in earlier vehicles. I definitely noticed it as worse in 22-23 loaners compared to my 2025, but yeah it isn't all the way gone.

I see a small amount at the top of my rear window. I have to look hard to find it. 2025 AGT.

Thought I'd add that I asked Lucid Beverly Hills to replace a distorted rear window in my brand-new 2026 Air Touring, and they said it was within spec. It looks really bad to me. Might try another service center to see if they'll handle it.

If you get it replaced, let us know. I doubt any of them will.

I got my rear window replaced - kudos to the Lucid Torrance Service Center, which took my concern seriously and got my car in just 4 days after I brought the issue to their attention. New window isn't perfect, but it's so much better and no longer a distraction.

Funny, I may have had one of the few rear windows in a 23 Air with NO distortion. And now I have a huge stress crack from the trunk hinge. Hope the replacement is fairly distortion free.

Did Lucid cover the replacement of the rear window?

That’ll smooth out with wear.
If it’s not bad glass then I’d suspect strong glass under stress distorting the view.
This is something to be wary of with telescope mirrors and lenses
Edit
When someone says “within spec”, exactly what is the spec that this abomination falls within? Followed by can you get the spec tighter

Yes, the entire cost including a bunch of trip pieces. I am told about 4 or more break when trying to remove them. The SA said their techs have seen a couple breaks exactly like mine because the trunk hinge is a mm from the glass.

Happened to me, too. Funny thing is that my original glass wasn't distorted, but the replacement is. C'est la vie.

This is quite a relief to hear. I will now resume drinking...🍺

My ‘22 DE squishes cars too. Only vertically though; the distance between me and them is unchanged.

I think the squished cars are kinda cute. Makes me feel giant. :p

Anyway, you get used to it
