Knock Knock, Lucid… It’s the Air Owners. Remember Us? 😂

Yeah, a NACS port on the Air would not be a good idea. Using an adapter isn't difficult. Or frequently required given the 50kw speed limit on most superchargers

Considering Tesla is making more 800V compatible stations along with rapid expansion from Walmart and IONNA and some newer V2/Gen2 Charging providers I am not sure this NACS thing is as great a boost as people think it is outside the next 24 months....

There's more and more high speed charging popping up at gas stations around here too. For a long time we only had 2 Tesla stations and one Electrify America. Now there are a bunch of L2 and quite a few more 350kw stations which are usually empty since most EV's here are Tesla. It's kinda nice.

Seriously - would not be a good idea? It is the standard and the Air needs to get to NACS. Highly doubt I would buy an Air without out. Just an oddball, when Gravity had NACS and guessing Cosmos will too. In the Midwest, Ontario, Canada, etc there are way more Tesla/NACS chargers than CCS. There are CCS, but usually 4 to 6 chargers, which scale compared to Tesla NACS.

The answer is a bit more nuanced. Because even with a NACS port the Air is going to be limited to 50 kW at all Superchargers with the exception of V4. And to solve that problem you either need a lot more V4 cabinets or a major redesign of the Air's 900v architecture.
