I might have missed it somewhere earlier in this massive thread, but does anyone have the home assistant image assets for the gravity? Really cool integration! Thank you very much!

Thanks to you, @borski and @segbrk , I was finally able to get charging automatically limited to my solar overproduction running! There are a few bugs to work out in my automation but it's pretty damn great.

Here's the first working run. It was partly cloudy, hot, and I was doing laundry (so central air and my electric dryer were kicking on and off) so I think it was a pretty good test.

That is awesome! Does your automation dial Luci's charging current limit up and down to match your excess PV generation?

Yup! All the changes in that graph were made by the automation. It's also got some rate limiting built in so I (hopefully) don't hit API limits or switch my charger on and off too often.

I would think so, too. I'll post it here once I have all the wonkiness worked out. Right now I'm trying to fix bugs related to the delay between turning the charger on/off and the HA entity updating state from the API.

Home Assistant can export chosen devices to HomeKit. I had my Air in HomeKit that way, haven't set it up for my Gravity yet.

More came over than I expected but less than I was hoping for, though to be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect.
And I’m so far down the hole I now have two pi’s, one with docker/pertained the other I’m making portable and playing with trying it from the car. No particular reason, just thought it might be fun and no need to let more stuff into my network. I dislike tons of apps I need for only one device.

Yeah, default I think is to export everything, but there's a cap on the number of devices it can share. So you'll get a kind of random set of stuff and not what you want. You can control what it shares though, you just have to fiddle with the configuration. I think you can add/remove things from the UI now if you go to Settings > Devices and Services > HomeKit Bridge.
 
I got my first automation to work with HA. Using my ratgdo, it opens the garage door when the car enters the home zone. It works at the same time my HomeLink button pops up, about 250 feet from my driveway.

BTW, the ratgdo install was a huge time sink for me. The whole process took me a couple of days. First, unbeknownst to me, it was not connecting to my Wi-Fi during the USB connected setup process. And because I had just been reorganizing my home Wi-Fi, I didn't realize it. I repeated the USB connected reflash and add Wi-Fi process a whole bunch of times. I eventually read about how to use the web UI connected to the ratgdo temporary Wi-Fi hotspot to add it to my network.

The other problem I had was connecting the wiring. The wire holder block on the ratgdo has smaller receptacles than the Chamberlain's. Consequently when I tried to insert the obstruction sensor wires that were twisted together, they would not go into the block. I fought with this for sometime in a 100 degree garage. I finally made one wire longer and wrapped the second wire around it so that the single wire would go into the block. I also wrapped electricians tape around the exposed wires. Of course, there is no need to connect the obstruction sensors to the ratgdo if you have no need for the sensor reading in Home Assistant.

BTW, I have my obstruction sensors set to the height of the rear bumper to make sure the garage door does not come down on it.
 
As I have an Apple smart home I went with a Meross GDO which sits across the wall button wires
Currently no automation for the garage doors as I view them as a personal security issue eg I don’t like crush zones fully automated due to possible personal injo
