Hello everyone, I would like advice from people who are more used to Lucid cars than me (obviously, this is my first Lucid), and I'm inclined to be my last Lucid as well.
I would like to know what you suggest in my case, to keep trying to live with the issues and bugs till some possible future where the car is what I expect or just get rid of it and start a return, buyback or whatever, because at this point I'm just too annoyed with my car.
I took delivery of my Lucid Gravity Grand Turing December 31st 2025, and drove it from Montreal to Ottawa, that was a smooth ride, nothing major happened, however, next day my odyssey began:
By day 4 I had experienced:
1. Left stranding at -20 degrees Celsius trying to open the doors with keyfob and cards (nothing worked), I have to return to a building and then suddenly worked later on.
2. A battery replacement
3. High beam and collision warnings (I still have those with the latest update)
4. I have to make new muscle memory for the irresponsive buttons on the steering wheel, they require a precise touch in order to work.
5. A serious incident where I was using cruise control and the high beam and collision warning appeared, which disengaged the cruise control, making the car brake hard. The car behind me thought I was brake checking him.
Then my fronk got stuck and I couldn't opened, not even applying some force in order to help it, a Lucid technician came to my place and fix it, then he told me the the upcoming update will fix 99% of my problems (I believe him, I wanted to believe honestly)
Several days passed, and I was promised that the 3.4 update would fix my issues because I was changing my second battery on my keyfob in less than a month, and I wasn't able to drive my car in several occasions. Suddenly, the car wouldn’t open or didn’t close, It was so unreliable that it was laughable, I never thought about entering a car was something that could go wrong in a brand new Luxury model.
Later next month, I got all my backup sensors to be disabled by a setting which told me that I was in a towing mode or something, but my car didn’t come with that, and we weren't able to reset it or enable it, we try everything that Lucid told us to do, and after a week of not having pedestrian or back sensors, they took my car for the first time into Lucid centre for inspection, they fixed that and some other stuff.
Fast forward till 3.4.4 update
Many bugs were fixed indeed, but I still have so many bugs and glitches to count. I have sent videos to customer care and the Montreal Team that I feel exhausted, and so do they.
I haven’t had a single day where the car behaves as expected. Sometimes the app won’t work, sometimes the garage door button won’t work, then the massage seats won’t work, then the Spotify app glitches on the playlists, then switching profiles wont work, then the internal temperature is off by 10 or 15 degrees Celsius margin, then switching profiles almost squishes my wife while moving the seat, and so on...
I can live with minor glitches, but the High Beam and collision warnings still randomly appear, Lucid Montreal didn't believed me and they sent me a picture where do I need to keep my sensors clean in order to have "Cruise control" working
This is not my Lucid Gravity, this is demonstration, I will show my Lucid with warnings in the next one
So, the next day, I was driving, cruise control enable, and same thing happens, it disengaged it by itself when the warnings appeared, I stopped on the shoulder and record a video.
And this is the exterior of my car.
Fast forward till today, I’m frustrated, annoyed, and when a minor glitch appears, I just get mad and complain about this car. At least it hasn’t let me get stranded again since the update.
I really like how the car handles and how it is from the inside, but man, the car won’t let me enjoy a single day of peace. I have 64 unique types of incidents since January 1st, 2026, which I have share with Lucid Customer Care, and other representatives, some very serious and other don't.
At this point, I don't know what to do, that's why I would like to ask for your opinions. Do you think Lucid can fix the car before I lose my sanity? Do you really think it is going to be a great car in the near future? Was Lucid Air like this at the beginning?
Lucid told me that they want to take the car "again" and check it properly, but last time they told me that everything was working as expected, that they didn't get any warnings an errors, so I don't have high hopes.
Thank you, and also I forgot to mention tons of other bugs and glitches that had happen, but I hope somebody could share some advice here.
