I don’t see them doing it for less than 10-15k each and it’s possible I’m being optimistic when comparing it to an expensive wrap.
 
If the Sapphire blue is crazy expensive I might just go with the gray (which is what I have now on my AGT) or white exterior on the Gravity GT-S
 
:confused: (anyone else still bummed they never made LT?..I probably would've paid extra for it)
 
The Soul Red Crystal Metallic finish presents a striking aesthetic, and I anticipate its potential integration into the Gravity model.

There is barely more than 0 chance they will add new colors, as was shown during the death of lunar titanium, where they actually paid people to pick another available color…

That was due to a technical issue with the paint. Agreed that you could be correct though.
 
That red is stunning. It's a shame they don't allow you to get the Air or Gravity in a brighter red or blue.

That has nothing to do with it simply being “another color.”

It was Lunar Titanium, specifically, that they pulled, because they could not get the electronics working properly as it was too reflective.

They also weren’t the only ones; another manufacturer ran into the same trouble, I can’t remember which one.

Other colors don’t present the same issue.
 
Maybe I’ll just stick with either white or gray. You still get everything from the Gravity Sapphire package I assume.

White/Stealth looks very good on Gravity IMO.

Just my opinion and seem to be in the minority on this thread. I have a Gravity GT and love it. In "Sprint" mode it is blazingly fast, but how many times do you want to do that? 5? I now have a Gravity Touring loaner and it's only really, really fast in "Sprint" mode--still faster than a sane person accellerates other than for fun or to impress friends. I bought my car to tow my race car, and my race car (Porsche) and lightweight trailer (Trailex) combined cost less than the difference between my Gravity GT and the Gravity GT-S. If you want real fun, go the route I did!

Of course, if you want the model to be special, that's fine. But I wouldn't spend that money for 200 HP you aren't going to use.

To be fair, it's only $7k-$8k more for the GT-S. It looks like a much bigger price difference than that at first glance because it's a nearly fully-loaded vehicle. Assuming you're getting the same options, I don't think the price is that unreasonable for the extra HP.

I still have a hunch that they're going to do a separate Sapphire trim. This wouldn't be all that different from BMWs approach to their vehicles. For example, the BMW X5 M50i has nearly as much power as the X5M, but it has worse brakes, narrower tires, and a more compliant suspension. Not a bad idea for Lucid to capture customers at various price points.

It might be tough to fit in a dual-motor RDU with Gravity's available rear-wheel steering. Things seem pretty tight back there.
And Lucid will be prioritzing engineering of high volume models. It's a different era.
