Sneak peek at Gravity 3.6.4

Also when in “P” and at first power up, there’s now a Lucid “sunburst”-thingy at eye level. It’s huge!!! Was that sunburst there before and I just never noticed?

Yes, it has always done that at startup. Given how much faster the Gravity doors unlock and are ready to open these days it might just be that you're able to get in and see it before it goes away.

So it did? My partner turned off the HUD in mid-July, and I hadn’t bothered to turn it back on until 3.6.4

I thought I was imagining it but there seems to be some marginal improvement in the graphics, as in I get a headache looking at them later rather than sooner. There’s still a lot of room for improvement. Also when in “P” and at first power up, there’s now a Lucid “sunburst”-thingy at eye level. It’s huge!!! Other things I’ve been thinking about with the HUD. When I wear my non-polarised sunglasses, the HUD graphics fade to dark to almost invisible.

Another thing is, I had PPF applied on the outside of the windscreen. A first for any of my cars because up until a few years ago no PPF installer was willing to apply it to a front windshield. But I have PPF on my front windshield now. I don’t notice any distortion just looking out through the windscreen, or at least I’ve learned to take no notice. Could the PPF be contributing to the mildly blurry graphics and my eye-ache/headache?
I also had the xpel windshield protection film on for about a week before I had to remove it due to headaches. I think it was an installation error cause there were half a dozen very clearly defective spots even aside from where there was a mirage-like artifact giving my wife and myself motion sickness and headaches.

Gonna get a refund and try to find a different shop this time.

Sounds like that could be the issue since Xpel was doing something similar to some users. I always have the HUD on, and it hasn't caused headaches for me. I'm actually very prone to headaches and don't need another source of them. I look past the HUD at the road and see the HUD text without trying to focus on it

I'm prone to headaches too, but so far the Xpel has caused no problems for me, and has no impact on the HUD. I've got my HUD dialed in pretty well now where it's right on the edge (bright enough but if I raise my head an inch it starts to fade out).

My Xpel has just slight waviness to it, only noticeable if I move my head up and down to see the movement. And I have to really look hard for it to see it. Just sitting normal I don't notice any at all. Looks really clear and normal. My only regret is not doing it the week I got the car rather than 7 months later where the glass already had a few small pits in it.

I just installed 3.6.4. Will report back tomorrow with any noticable differences. My gravity has been doing well after Lucid figured out my calibration issue related to hardware.

STILL NO 3.6.4 ??!!

Should I be concerned or is this timing normal ?
Normal. Relax, it can take a couple weeks for full deployment. It’ll happen when it happens. If you dont get it in say 3 or 4 weeks from now, then you’d call them and they should push it out to you. Other than that, just stand by and in all likelihood it’ll come within the next 2 weeks. This is the norm for this and we see folks ask on every update and it’s always the same.

Ok thank u

Had 3.6.4 for about 24 hours now. When I first approached the car a few hours after the update, the fob took the usual 7 seconds of standing there before the doors presented. Then a couple more times of delays mixed in with some immediate opens. This morning I rebooted the car. Since then it's been presenting as soon as I walk up (about 8 times). So far so good but it's very early. It seemed better last time too before reverting back to frequent delays.

We'll see what the next few weeks brings.

Will the driver's handle present immediately if you press it in now?

I downloaded 3.6.4 yesterday morning. It only took about 20 min to install. I didn't do much driving yesterday and what I did was on suburban roads. I did notice that Drive Assist (DDPro) was always available whereas with 3.6.3 and earlier it would flash on an off; if used it would often turn off. The few times I tried it yesterday it just came on and stayed on. Today I was able to do about 25 miles on I-5 at 60 and 70 mph speed limits in moderate traffic. Hands free came on as soon as I merged and stayed on. It seems somehow smoother and more dialed in. As others have noted, you need to pull over toward the right side within a mile or so of your exit. Twice hands free started to pass just as I started to hit the right turn indicator to move to the exit lane. I'm satisfied with it. I think the team at Lucid is really honing in on durable solutions. I can't wait to see what they do with point-to-point. If they ever offer a LVL 4 capable hardware upgrade I'm in. I don't have some of the other issues like key FOBs that have tortured others so I can't comment on other 3.6.4 improvements. Our Gravity has been very well behaved and is the best vehicle we've ever owned.

The few delays I had last night weren't really long enough to test that. I wanted to see what it would do on it's own. I doubt it though as it's always acted like a problem of not even seeing the fob at all. Then when it finally does, everything works as it should from there.

If the delays return (as they have on all the previous updates), I'll do the usual battery of tests. I didn't change the battery or do anything different with the fob this time, so it should be a better test. I did hold down the lock button for 5+ seconds to reset the fob, but I've been doing that every couple of days for weeks anyway per the release notes (with no apparent impact).

This was the last chance I was giving it anyway before I hit up Customer Care for a replacement fob. They just keep announcing another new update that's "supposed to fix the fob" just as I'm about to throw in the towel. 😄

Did they take the battery precondition optimization table out in 3.6.4? I'm in a gravity loaner from the service center and it updated overnight and I went to precondition and I no longer see it.

Nevermind, I needed to click the settings. Still there!

Version 3.6.4 is a joke. Why can't Lucid learned from the past that you will test it thoroughly before release. I thought the new CEO said quality & service were his priority
* Key fob does show some improvement over 3.6.3, but several times I still have shaking it and walking up and down to get the door open.
* Hands free certainly shutdown and never came back. At least, with 3.6.3, after it shutting down, it was able to come back a minute or so later. I do have Dream Drive 2Pro.
* While stopping at the red light, traffic is not moving, it certainly popped up "Traffic clear" out of nowhere.

I think it's becoming clear that some key fobs are defective and this not be a software issue. My keyfob has never failed to open the door, not once.

Does anyone see anything like this? When Dream Drive/Hands free engaged, there's no street lines and no traffic graphics showing on the screen. It's just your own car with the blank screen. Hands free function still worked fine.
No, it's not AI modified/created. It's real pic.
I owned this Gravity for about six months and never seeing anything like this ever before version 3.6.4
I turned off and turned on Hands Free several time, it's still showing the same for the rest of the drive.
Once I stopped the car and started driving the car about an hour later, the graphic started showing normal again. No reboot is needed.
This tells you how bad the version 3.6.4 is. It broke the most basic graphic that was working all along.

Have you tried a sleep? This likely has nothing to do with 3.6.4, as I haven’t seen anyone else run into this. Best guess: you need to let your car sleep, or you have some hardware / camera issue.

Yes, when I stopped the car at my house, walked away for about an hour, and started driving again, this is when the graphic became normal again.
