Cannot update past 3.3.20

Hello,

I am a new happy owner of a Gravity Touring. When I bought the car last week, it had software version 3.3.9, and when I drove it home from the dealer, it was updated to 3.3.20. That's it. It's been over a week now and I couldn't get any further update, even thought we are now in version 3.6.3.

I understand that updates roll out periodically over a period of time, but my current version was released on December 12th and there has been over 6 released after that. Does anyone know how I can push these updates, or at least get to version 3.5 so I can use Apple CarPlay?

You have to contact customer care. They can try to push the older updates. If they don’t come through, you need service.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I actually did and they were of no help. I got my Lucid from Saudi Arabia and they told me that the update will roll out eventually and that they cannot force the update. They needed to forward the message to the US for further diagnostics. I am not sure if taking it to the service center will be of any help.

Ohhhh, I had no idea you were in EMEA. I have no idea when those cars get updates, but I do know they’re usually delayed.

Might still be worth contacting the service center and asking.

Yes, I managed to get a hold of someone from Lucid and they said I had to bring the car in for minor service and some 6-7 recalls that they need to patch, and they’ll update my software to the latest version. My car was manufacture in Nov 2025

I had an issue with updating to 3.6.0. the software updater was inaccurately reading that there was a fault in the lidar per service. There was no warning that the lidar was having errors and when the car went into service it seemed that there was just a software fault that prevented the update.
 
Yeah...different country, different rollout cadence. I don't think, unless a Lucid Rep reaches out to you directly, any of us will be of much use to advise....
 
I understand that update rollout is gradual and the US will probably get the update first, but 8-9 months wait seems a lot. Even when I contacted Lucid for service I was a bit confused about whether I need to bring the car to them or they will remotely diagnose the issue or maybe send a mobile service car to do the job.
 
Been driving the car for a few days ago, and the software will still not update past 3.3.20. When I called Lucid customer service they referred me to a service center that can do it for me. When I called them, one guy said we cannot enforce the update and that it will download the update itself OTA. They did say that some other technician might be able to help me with it, since he's out of town (including fixing some recalls that I wasn't aware of).

Will keep you updated in a few days with hopefully some good news.
 
UPDATE: Took my car to Lucid, and turns out there were bugs that prevented the car from updating. Once all bugs has been cleared, the updates started rolling one by one (total 7) but some versions had to be installed 3 times for some reason (v. 3.5.7).

Anyway, I am happy to report that I am on software 3.6.4 🥳
