I hate to complain because I really do want Lucid to succeed, but they’re just not doing some of the basic things right.

My Lucid Air lease is almost over, and I’m considering my next car. I’ve now called Lucid Sales three separate times. Each time I’ve sat on hold for several minutes, only to eventually get a recording asking me to leave my name and number for a return call. I’ve done that each time — and I’ve never received a call back.

They’re not going to sell more cars if they can’t answer the phone or return a prospective customer’s call. I love the product, but something is clearly wrong with the sales model and customer follow-through.

Sad,and true!

Lucid really needs to beef up its customer-facing resources (sales, services, leases). The status quo is a path tono-where!

Yeah I'm trying to get ahold of the usually good customer relations department to see if I need to get my car into service again or if they're processing buyback request, but have gotten no reply at all. Which is weird because that's usually a fast reply. I think they lost a lot of people and its going to be a long road to even get back to where they were.

A lot of the missteps were pre-Napoli. But you can only say that for so long. If Lucid were to survive under Napoli, things better happen soon!

It takes time to find the nature and source of the problems, determine the correct path to correct the issue, and turn actually implement the changes.

Or would you recommend they just hire whatever yutz's they find, throw them a lucid shirt and release them into the sales and service departments with no planning or training?

They are too busy counting the parking lot 😂

My lease ends in November and someone from ‘inside sales’ reached out by email to talk about options. Haven’t tried to contact them since I’m on vacation this week

I called once and agreed to a call back. Later in the day I answered a call which told me it was Lucid Motors, your call cannot be completed at this time, and hung-up. A couple of days later I called and left my name and number and never received a call back. This is no way to sell cars.

Been looking at a gravity past week or so. New sales associate has been very responsive. Old sales associate left company from what I understand.

I've been on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes so far to customer service. I keep hearing they will answer shortly

Maybe you called the wrong number?

Lucid Sales 18443677787. The phone is answered “Lucid Sales”.

Yes, TIME. That's the ticket. Just ask Oldsmobile, Packard, AMC, Saturn to name a few. Their CEO's and employees have a lot of time on their hands, now!

I have an actual order, approved lease, but can't get the actual info of what is approved, so i can't in good conscience agree to it. Been trying all day to get some info, and the person that was texting me has ghosted me (if they are out should say so in some auto response) and no calls or emails. I did send an email to sales as well. No idea what is happening with the car delivery, pretty much nothing.

You're more than welcome to submit your resume to Lucid if you think you can come in and solve all their problems in seconds. I'm sure they'd love to hear about the solutions that would make that possible.

I decided to try again today... I called main number twice and was asked to leave my name and number for a return call.
I then called local Lucid studio number, and it also went to voice mail.. A critical communications breakdown if they want to succeed with direct sales...

I do think the new management is probably genuinely working hard to improve things. But there are some baffling problems that they ought to be able to have solved in two weeks. Consistently answering the phone is a prime example. You don't even need to go through the process of hiring someone: any number of staffing agencies will get you temps within 48 hours who are capable of answering phones, taking messages, and routing calls to the right place. I feel like the only possible conclusion is that for some reason they don't care, and are focused on other problems. For some of the phone calls, I think that's weird, but can imagine a reason. But ghosting people who might want to buy a vehicle? That's 100% crazy.

Yeah, should be an easy fix and a priority fix. Hope Napoli is reading these chats. Or at least is given feedback. Lucid rep on this form should let him know.

Some things do take time. You cannot bake a cake by wishing it were done.

Given that sales and service are the lifeblood of an auto manufacturer, not caring is almost certainly the least likely reason, not most.
