Just got this email, I am betting cosmos unveil, but image could mean sapphire gravity, what do you think?

Based on the color, what was said on the last earnings call and what we know so far - this just about confirms the Lucid Gravity Sapphire.
 
gravity saphire or gravity offroad..which would you feature?
 
What would a gravity sapphire comprise? Faster than DE? Different body? More luxurious or just speed?

I still think that a Sapphire Gravity could be a Gravity dialed up to 11 for off-road. I think a high performance on-road version is more likely, but neither would surprise me.

Could be any and all of the above, except I highly doubt the more luxurious focus. Nothing about how Lucid talked about the Air Sapphire or future Sapphire vehicles was about the pinnacle of luxury.
 
“Elite performance” is not how I would market a rugged off-roader. I’m inclined to believe it’s an amped up and decked out Gravity Sapphire or possibly a Dream Cosmos.
 
the real; question is which one is of interest to the most buyers. thats the one i'd pick

I don't get this take. What are you going to do with a more rugged Gravity? It already has up to 9" of ground clearance. Unless you're trying to do moderate to difficult off-roading, I don't see the point.

Full disclaimer: I don't like jeeps, range rovers, broncos, etc. because I don't do off-roading (like 99%+ of the people that own them), and thus don't like the idea of sacrificing driving dynamics for increased off-road capabilities.
 
Gravity Sapphire would unlikely be better than Porsche Cayenne Turbo EV and at best be comparable (performance wise). The very small number of buyers looking for super high performance SUV will most likely be drawn to Porsche as it has the established name. If Lucid were to charge $250,000 like with the Sapphire Air, then there would zero market for it as the Porsche would be much cheaper. Only bragging rights would be you could have 3 rows in your bat sh..t crazy SUV.
 
It really depends on the level of performance they can get.

Can you imagine the kerfuffle of they have advanced to motors and technology enough manage to make a Gravity Sapphire as fast as the Air Sapphire, if not faster. I can just see Chevy exec's heads spinning as their precious Corvette ZR1X gets beaten in the quarter mile and 0-60 by an SUV/Minivan.

Perhaps not a profitable endeavor or smart use of resources for Lucid, but I must admit the mere thought of it has me giggling with glee.
 
Nobody is taking their Gravity off-road and risk scratching the paint or damaging the wheels. The need for ruggedness of SUVs is the biggest myth in car sales - the # of people who are going to seriously off-road their $100k plus boulevard cruiser is close to zero.

My Cayenne GTS is very capable to go off road - it’s never even seen a gravel road. It’s just selling an image that people think applies to them when it doesn’t - marketing 101.
