I have a 2023 AT, and both of frunk door latches began malfunctioning just before my warranty expired. Since the issue was documented before the warranty ended, Lucid is repairing it at no cost.
However, during their diagnostic scan, the service center found a DTC related to the front nose lamp and is claiming the light has failed and needs to be replaced at my expense. I was told the part alone is nearly $1,000.
The confusing part is that I never experienced any issues with the front light bar before the vehicle was picked up. In fact, I charged the car shortly before the service appointment, and the front “LUCID” light bar illuminated normally. And welcome lights lit up as well when the car is unlocked. If it didn't work, I would've noticed. Did anyone had an experience with same lighting malfunctioning? Was there any warning showing on the cluster?
I asked my Service Advisor when the DTC was first triggered, but they were unable to provide that information. I've asked to speak to the manager and I'm just waiting on a call back at the moment...
I work in the automotive industry as well and there's gotta be a log or some sort when the fault code was first set. I'm trying to dispute responsibility for a component that appeared to be functioning properly before the vehicle entered service... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
