The famous
@DrZorro is back. It has been a while. Waiting to hear if your issues get taken care of by this update.
Well, famous I am not.... However, I had my service appointment on Wednesday afternoon (the day before the update). Everything is working again perfectly on the car (including the DDPro)--though I've only had I short trip in the car since the service appointment and subsequent software update.
My service guy did the following:
1) Replaced steering wheel (which is what is believed to have fixed the DDPro issue. The capacitive sensor in the wheel was confirmed to have died--again. They seem to only last 6 months for me, apparently--though this is Rev 7 of the wheel (Rev 8 is apparently in the system though he couldn't order it). We'll see if that bug is squashed in Rev 7). I think my first wheel was probably a Rev 1 since it was a very early Dream build.
2) Did the passenger seat recall eval/repair. Thankfully mine was quickly fixable with a hefty steel bracket and some 3M Welding-Glue.
3) Replaced the frunk struts (there's a TSB on them apparently--mine were working perfectly and always have-- but he replaced them anyways with the newer part).
4) Installed foam pads inside the doors to fix potential rattles (that I didn't have).
5) Replaced my original year old keyfob (despite not having any issues) and made sure the keyfob firmware was up to date (it was). He also verified that my 2nd keyfob was a revision that was good-- I just got that one earlier this year and it was manufactured after the cutoff date and so that one didn't need to be replaced).
6) Tested the NFC on the door pillar and console with both keys (was working normally).
I think he also may have checked a few additional things on his list that were all OK as well.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the service visit and the attention to detail and proactive stuff Lucid is doing. They seem to really be looking at every detail now and are trying to get in front of any known problems.
He also confirmed the Dallas service center should hopefully open around October-ish and I think it will be used as a second showroom and car delivery spot as well which is great news for people in this area!
