Can we buy esthetic and common sense in the market and ship it?

I agree that it is ugly, but I have gotten used to it.... They might revise with the major update downstream

I still haven’t updated my car yet. 2.10.0 seems to have been a disaster with bugs and that ugly graphic. Yes, yes, I’m ‘not covered under warranty’ bs….I know. But I have 58,000 miles on my AT and I like it as is. Besides, it’s mine. Not theirs to ugly up.

Why can’t they just improve my vehicle by doing the simple things that need fixing? I still have to take my phone out of my pocket and wave it around like a f-ing idiot just to unlock my car. I still get pissed every time I put something in the back of the car and it locks before I walk around to the front. I still have to carry glass cleaner because the wiper cleaners can’t clean birdshit off the windshield because it uses too little liquid. It’s just frustrating to have a great car, which the team of engineers at Lucid decided to mess up with 2.10.0 rather than fix the issues which have plaqued the car since 2022. I understand why EE destroyed them in that video. Because Lucid DOESN’T LISTEN.

2.10.0 is not a “disaster” in the slightest.

You should install it or your vehicle is at risk of catching fire.

But okay, you do you. Good luck.

It seems the seat belt logo redesign issue has been put to rest, having been mandated by law. How about we archive this thread; it's becoming a bit much?

So you're willing to put your warranty at risk and ignore a recall over a seatbelt graphic? I've been running on 2.10 since July and have had no issues. It was several weeks before I even noticed that they changed the seat belt graphic. Somehow I've been able to suppress my rage.

Has it though? As far as I'm aware, the law mandates a clear graphic, in a specific location, for a specific amount of time.

I don't THINK the law specifies this exact graphic, and I'm pretty sure Lucid could come up with a suitably clear graphic that addresses the legal requirements but doesn't look like something my daughter came up with when she was 12.

If I'm wrong, then I expect to see this exact graphic in my wife's GV60 in the near future.

And to be clear, I'm not suggesting it is or should be a very high priority for Lucid, so it won't surprise me if they don't change I, but I think it's inaccurate to say that it's settled that this exact, crappy graphic exists because the law demands it, when in fact actually happened was that Lucid did a poor job when redesigning the graphic to meet the legal requirements.

This! I 100% agree...the law doesn't state anything that the older logo didn't achieve. In fact..the new logo stays on over the side camera feed making it an impairment and a more serious safety concern... absolutely hate the new logo and wish for it to be gone...

If this was done for compliance purposes, which seems to be the case, then it likely reflects the input of various Lucid teams from Legal to Engineering and Software. A combination of what's required, doable, and cost effective. If it checks the box and keeps resources available for more pressing problems I'm perfectly fine with it. Obsessing about something as benign as a seat belt logo, given all the challenges facing the company, would be foolish. It's the kind of thing that you'd read about in a company's epilogue.

I agree that they should be focusing on other higher priority items .. thus it's frustrating...two sides of the same argument...it's more foolish to mess with something and get it wrong...the previous logo did not lay over the side signal video feed...ive literally had to wait 45secs for the logo to clear up the right camera feed in traffic....that I think is what is foolish..and all they had to do was...nothing. It's not the log that is the main issue to me..its the..dont dick with what's working and make it worse and go fix something that is truly broken....to view this merely as a log is missing the point...it's the underlying philosophy that screams that Lucid doesn't have it together in the software dept...not news..but seeing it play out this way just is silly

Very easy process to never be bothered by this… ensure seat belt(s) are first before putting the car in D or R. Problem solved.

I get it. It’s annoying and this covering up the blind spot camera is a problem, but if the belts are on first it does not manifest.

not to completely derail the thread...but what are you talking about? 2.10.0 isn't a disaster, there haven't been major or consistent issues, etc. And that's coming from someone who's had a few little quirks with the doors not unlocking as quickly as prior to the update. The seatbelt graphic is the most consistent thing talked about. I don't like it, but it's not the end of the world.
