If I do a set of wheels 20in front and 21 in back do I need to take the car into lucid to get it calibrated or can I do that myself?

Anyone know?
 
See the "Wheels" section of your owner's manual. You can do it yourself.
Settings -> Vehicle -> Tires

Oh, I forgot that it is the wheel widths that are staggered on the Air, not the diameters.
I'd just aim for tire rolling diameters that are very similar to OEM.

So you can or cannot put "front" and "rear" sizes differently on the car? I am putting Sapphire Wheels/tires on my Air I want to make sure I dont screw something up by doing this.
  • Front: 265/35ZR20
  • Rear: 295/30ZR21
 
I don't know. You can check the rolling diameter specs for the tires you intend, and the ones the car came with. If they are close, the car's electronics and software likely won't mind. Sapphire has wider wheel arches, something to think about.

The sapphire has flares specifically because its wheels are wider. You may want to consider how it will look without them.

Keeping my fingers crossed... At this point sadly it is something that I need to do.

I hit something in the freeway and totally destroyed OEM wheels and tires. The total cost to replace those far exceeds what I will pay for this new set. Hopefully if i need to I can get the body parts or have them made if I need it. =)
 
after doing some research today..... I dont think I am going to do it.

I am reading all over where the 285 width tire is rubbing... So a 295 is going to get messed up here in Phoenix.... so .... If anyone has a set of 21" wheels/tires for sale please send me a message. hahaha I need them quickly. hahaha
 
I have 285’s on 21’s in back fit fine
Front’s are 265x21

2022 Air GT I’ve not noticed anything up to say a theoretical 109, highway speeds, if someone would postulate.

sorry.... she had a set of 21 powder coated wheels and tires. she sold them to me... AND she lives here in AZ.

I had a set of Sapphire wheels (not including center caps or aero covers) that I could buy but would have to pay for tires mount balance align... it would have ended up being more expensive and my wife is already pissed at me as it is.... hahaha So this saves my marriage and fixes my problem... Plus I think the wheels will look good on my Air.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Sapphire wheels will just bolt on to the other trim levels. Don't they use center locks rather than the normal lug pattern the other trims use?
