Probably not a lot of people. Probably a couple of big institutional investors getting most of it. It was halted twice, with only a short window of a couple of minutes to sneak in when it dropped below $3 very briefly. A few of us lowly individual investors got through to grab some crumbs. šŸ˜

Glad I never panic sold! PIF taking this private or bankruptcy was what was keeping the stock price down.

Having confirmed these are not on the table has made more investors pour in.

Ironic how this episode ended up benefiting LCID. Classic example of how bad publicity can turn into good publicity. If the new CEO had come out with that statement any other time, it would have barely gotten noticed and the stock probably continued to drift. But the false report and the stock getting halted made news and put LCID back on a lot of people's radar, where the CEO statement got seen by way more investors.

They should send that hit-job guy a gift basket. šŸ˜…

Did nibble some under $3. Had to set limit orders which got filled when trading resumed. Also picked up some more in lower 4s for a swing play and exited those lots already.

You see them because they sell them in lots of colors. Lucid needs to spice up the color chart. Look at Porsche, Rivian, even Tesla. They all have stand out colors that make you look. Lucid has that great red for the Air but thats it. They need that color on the Gravity and some other bold colors.

I donā€™t disagree except for the Tesla part. White, gray, silver, black, red, and blue - nothing exciting. I love white cars and have a white Model S but I never think of Tesla as standing out because of colors. Aurora Green, Bronze, Zenith Red, Fathom Blue - all better than Tesla. Would be cool if they made the dream edition gold and and the Sapphire available as options - those rock.

We recognize Rivians because of the cool cartoon headlights. The colors are great but many other pickups have great colors too. But when those Rivian headlights come your way from the opposite direction, they're unmistakable. Brilliant design marketing by Rivian.

The exciting colors you see Teslasā€™ in are likely wraps. The complexity in painting cars in multiple colors shouldnā€™t be underestimated. Heck just painting a car in a factory can be challenging. Itā€™s the reason the Cybertruck is stainless steel.

And while youā€™re marveling at what Porsche is able to do, consider that Fisker offered 14 exterior color options and 18 interior choices. In the short term Lucid is aiming for less factory complexity and configurations. Thatā€™s probably the smart choice.
 
And Porsche charges out the wazoo for the best paint to sample colors.

Yeah well those stupid cartoon headlights are the reason I would never consider a Rivian.
