I have 25 AT, it has the latest compute. I agree it’s unfortunate. Most of my issues have been frunk failures, HVAC system failures and door seals leaking.

@gaskiller please stop recommend everyone get the CCC on non-infotainment related threads. It doesn’t help, is a red herring, and is approximately the definition of completely irrelevant. A new CCC is not going to fix a frunk that won’t close.

I have asked you to stop before, but this is me no longer asking nicely. If it is not related to infotainment (and frankly, even if it is), please stop.

Any vehicle with current software should be working fine on the old CCC anyway. If it isn’t, that is in and of itself a problem.

Well, I installed the upgrade and my car functions much better….doesn't the new computer improve software efficiency? Camera visualization, touchscreen responsiveness? I am sure it does.

It could be a selling point…..why would anyone who did their research by a car without the new upgraded computer?

Unless it is a fairly recent build, it will not have the newer chip. Also, a large portion of the used Airs hitting the market are coming off lease. Lessees, including me, are not going to spend $950 upgrading a car they are about to return. I am not even sure Lucid upgrades the computer before re-marketing their own 2023-2024 lease returns. My advice would be to do your best to buy a used Air at the best price-- and leave yourself at least $950 of headroom for the upgrade.
