Hello everyone,

My wife and I are looking at leasing a Gravity Grand Touring. We had the opportunity to test drive the car last week, and really liked it. I had a few questions, as I'm not used to Lucid's model, and wanted to understand how pricing and ordering works outside of the traditional dealer model. I'm very used to the traditional model, so please forgive me if these are dumb questions. I really appreciate your time reading and helping answer these:
  1. Does Lucid negotiate on pricing for leases or purchases or even things like included accessories? I think the answer is no, but I want to confirm.
  2. Are there any discounts that a studio can offer that I wouldn't see on the website? I have heard of studio select offers - is this something I would be able to see online, or are these only visible to the studio?
  3. We've typically done 36 month/10,000 mile leases. We need the 10,000 miles, but are flexible on the length. Does Lucid incentivize a different length? I read somewhere that Lucid's lease pricing incentivizes two year leases, is that true?
  4. Our ideal time frame to get the car is September or October, however, we're open to a month earlier or later if it gets us a better deal. We're trying to weigh ordering a model that is exactly what we want, vs going with inventory. However, it seems like you give up all incentives by ordering. Is that correct?
  5. Lets say we decide not to order, and try to purchase from inventory. Do you guys think the incentives will get better as we get further into Q3, or is it better to strike now or August if we can find something, when 2026 inventory is highest?
  6. With the existing inventory, can wheels be swapped out if we like the rest of the build? The biggest challenge I've been having is that we're looking for a car that's fairly loaded, but with the 20/21 wheels.
  7. Is there anything I should keep in mind as we go through the purchasing process?
We're located in Southern California, if that makes a difference. Appreciate any advice here, thanks!

Welcome! :)

I really appreciate your time reading and helping answer these:
  1. Does Lucid negotiate on pricing for leases or purchases or even things like included accessories? I think the answer is no, but I want to confirm.
“No.”

You won’t get a discount on price that isn’t public, almost certainly.

Accessories and things are a different matter, and somewhat dependent on timing, who the person is, rapport, etc. YMMV on that just like anywhere else.

  1. Are there any discounts that a studio can offer that I wouldn't see on the website? I have heard of studio select offers - is this something I would be able to see online, or are these only visible to the studio?
Someone else should answer this as they didn’t exist when I bought, but my understanding is they show up online. That said, it’s never a bad idea to contact your local studio and ask.

  1. We've typically done 36 month/10,000 mile leases. We need the 10,000 miles, but are flexible on the length. Does Lucid incentivize a different length? I read somewhere that Lucid's lease pricing incentivizes two year leases, is that true?
It entirely varies based on market and timing. What was true a month or two ago may not be true today, and vice-versa. You’d need to get new numbers.

No idea, tbh

  1. Let’s say we decide not to order, and try to purchase from inventory. Do you guys think the incentives will get better as we get further into Q3, or is it better to strike now or August if we can find something, when 2026 inventory is highest?
It’s kind of impossible to say, at least in part due to an all-new exec team. What we would have predicted with the old one doesn’t really apply as much.

Personally, I tend to favor the “bird in one hand” approach; if I want the car and am happy with the price, I take it. If I’m not happy with the price, I’ll wait, but with the knowledge that it may also go up just as it might go down.

  1. With the existing inventory, can wheels be swapped out if we like the rest of the build? The biggest challenge I've been having is that we're looking for a car that's fairly loaded, but with the 20/21 wheels.
In general, not really. Cars have to be sold with the wheels they were built with, and have to match the Monroney sticker.

That doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t negotiate a swap or discounted purchase of wheels post-purchase, but that would be between you and Lucid. There’s no “process” for that, to my knowledge.

  1. Are there any discounts that a studio can offer that I wouldn't see on the website? I have heard of studio select offers - is this something I would be able to see online, or are these only visible to the studio?
Yes. The price in person was (slightly) lower than what I saw online due to that offer.

As I understand it Lucid doesn't actually really control this, the bank does. And the bank changes its mind regularly. Sometimes 2-year is lower, sometimes 3-year is lower. Just have your SA run all the numbers for you.

This is just rumor and a past-looking pattern, but I think deals generally improve towards the end of each quarter and in particular towards the end of the year in a push to hit sales numbers before earnings reports.

A neighbor friend just missed getting a $20K discount on a new Gravity Dream Edition that I think wasn't on the inventory website. It pays to ask.

I would imagine at month’s end at this point just to drive numbers in general. They really have to clear out the MY26 from inventory but it really is strange to see them “available in one week” identifier on the inventory site.
Makes me think a few reasons:
1. Previous deposit that pulled out because of delivery delays.
2. Trouble transporting from AZ to wherever.
3. Shift inventory to different markets that have more demand.

Anything could change now that a new ceo has been put in place and installed a lot of his chosen leadership across the company, having said that disclaimer, month end and especially quarter end months like Sept and year end like Dec have had non-advertised incentives that have included 2 free options (so far unique to Dec 2025), with studio select credit being available from $3,000 or $5,000, and the sales associate credit of $1,000 or like at end of last quarter $2,000. You can only find out about these non-advertised incentives by talking with a sales associate, which seems an odd choice, but there it is. The car I ended up leasing did not have studio select credit, but I asked my SA to see if the manager would ok it for this VIN because it was a build date where its peers had the credit and it was approved, just fyi if there is a specific gravity you prefer ask.

To date, Lucid’s has bought down the lease rate for the gravity 36 months/10,000 miles with one month (quarter?) being 39 month/10,000 miles. If you have a trade in, their recent offers have been strong with $3,000 to $5,000 bonus on the offered price and this is not needed to be applied to the lease (ie, they will cut a check to you, so you do not have to put it as money down on the lease.).

These are currently only available on 2026 gravity and optioned inventory vehicles are limited.

Yes. The one week means it will get delivered to the area near where you are searching as opposed to two week ones are either at a location very far from you or are not yet ready to ship to your area from AZ factory. Sometimes the one week inventory is not discounted as much via behind the scenes mechanics as those that are available now, while at other times they are the same, which is probably where the unit is stored. One unit I looked at was stored in a federal port and could take up to 5 days to get out as only a federal employee at the port could access it. Very strange accounting going on I am guessing. Maybe in a tariff free storage facility.

According to that chart 0% APR is available on all Lucid Gravity, but in the inventory search it only shows up for MY '26. Did they forget to mention the 2026 requirement or is it available for 2027, but only in Studio?

I miss out on a white too,im kicking myself for that one.

Its also possible to get them to move an inventory car to your location within reason. Sometimes there are on-site credits.
