No doubt about that. Things will change. The CEO's of Ford and GM have been very clear eyed about the future. And anyone looking at the global market will be doing so with a long view. But not every auto company will make it to the finish line. Lucid's immediate priority needs to be in stabilizing the company and delivering on its commitments to customers and shareholders. The macro factors are outside of their control and will take care of themselves.Current economic environment in the US is also not great for EVs (relating to my comment re: bad luck).
Doesn't Rivian have the added fallback of producing the Amazon EV's or are the Amazon EV's not a material part of the Rivian operations? If R2 doesn’t sell well, Rivian is toast, just like if Cosmos doesn’t sell well for Lucid. That’s a given.
In the same way that Lucid has the fallback of producing the 100k vehicles the PIF has promised to order, or the vehicles Uber has bought.Doesn't Rivian have the added fallback of producing the Amazon EV's or are the Amazon EV's not a material part of the Rivian operations?
Exactly what we need for Lucid….make sure that guy goes to jail for stock manipulation. He must be pissing in his pants. He has been writing false information about Lucid for past 2 years. Now, he is going pay! Let this be a lesson to all the others writing hit articles for shorts out there! Back to $5 pretty soon!
Shorts should be banned now.
Why do you think so? I'm not a fan of Tesla's approach to FSD. But Waymo has been proving out their approach in multiple cities with many many trips given to members of the public. There is some promise with Nuro, but have they really demonstrated their capability to the level that Waymo has? It doesn't seem like it to me.Ubers stake in Lucid and Nuro will prevent Tesla Robotaxi from ever becoming a thing. Nuro is far superior to Waymo and Tesla.
I think we're a long way away from anyone going to jail. I don't know which country the EV guy operates out of, but protections for journalists (even half assed ones) are pretty robust in the USA.Exactly what we need for Lucid….make sure that guy goes to jail for stock manipulation. Great response!
Nobody could have predicted this

That is a fantastic summary of everything we know, actually. Well done. There was news yesterday that Lucid may file for bankruptcy which appears to have been a bogus report, and today the stock has completely recovered from the one day dip in price. What was interesting is the accurate report of AlixPartners has been hired to advice Lucid on strategy. Looking into AlixPartners, I've learned they are a highly regarded consulting firm with a reliable track record of helping companies cut cost, and fine-turn their strategies, and that AlixPartners has worked in the automotive industry.
Usually I've felt that companies who hire consulting firms is an admission that the leadership team at the firm does not have the skill set to execute strategy, but perhaps in this case with AlixPartner's experience and track record, they might be just what Lucid needs. I'm interested if anyone else has insights into this.
Uh oh, another Saab guy here... *crap*Man. It may not be a great sign for Lucid that a bunch of us are old Saab guys![]()
What's that joke? Oh yeah, what do you call a depressing story about a discontinued car? A SAAB story...Uh oh, another Saab guy here... *crap*
