hi,

I happen to drive Lucid Air with American Specs 35K km for the past 3 weeks and here are my findings compare to ME Specs with 20K km mileage

My observations after driving both:
  • ME Specs: ~20,000 km
  • U.S. Specs: ~35,000 km (driven for the past 3 weeks)
These are purely my personal observations after driving both vehicles and I still need to cross check once I get my car back. The biggest differences I've noticed are the A/C system, efficiency, and a few hardware/software differences.
My assumption is that many of these changes are intentional, with the Middle East version being optimized for our hotter climate while the U.S. version is tuned for North American conditions.

Has anyone else driven both U.S. and ME-spec Lucids? I'd be interested to hear if you've noticed the same differences or if there are other changes I may have missed.

also, I need to add that I have NOT checked the manufacturing date to compare apple to apple but my guts the US Spec might be older version like 2021 and ME is 2023

one final note to whom ever thinking of exporting US spec to a hot weather country, DO NOT DO IT
 
I was wondering as I read it if one was a 2026 and one prior to that date because they added a larger AC compressor to the Air in 2026. I had a 2026 loner recently and it was WAY better at cooling than my 2025.

i'm sorry but whattttt???? they are louder outside north america? It's one of the few quirks i like less...I find the turn signal too loud. Or maybe it's the tone that gets to me?

to be clear, it's not a deal breaker or anything insane. It's just noticeable when the music is quiet and there's no noise

The year makes a huge difference, as Lucid switched from a compressor to a heat pump in 2024 for GTs and in 2025 for the rest of the models.
 
Are there known specification differences between the ME and US models, aside from regulatory quirks? Like borski said I'd chalk most of what you're presented up to the disparate model years, and probably manufacturing variances especially if you're looking at a super early 2021 model.
 
I'd assume there are a whole range of small tweaks needed to comply with local regulatory requirements. Things like the noted differences in lights are quite possibly legally required changes.

Some are, for sure. That is, for example, why the rear of a KSA Air has a different LUCID placement than the rear of a NA Air; law and regulations requires that the logo not be in the lightbar.

Right, but I'm wondering about differences aside from regulatory quirks.

OP seems to think the HVAC systems are different? Like Miami_man said, I think it's more likely that any difference in HVAC is down to the differing model years OP has tested, rather than different HVAC systems based on the vehicle's intended region.

The specs page on Lucid's site seems to be pretty much identical aside from different measurement units, but that page is just marketing anyway.

I want to note that car I am driving is a loaner + it might be a demo car because it is limited to 140KM / 87mph

I will try to document as much as I can & send you pics. I am not sure where to find the model year, but my best guess it will be on the driver A-pillar sticker



most of the manufacturers, not saying Lucid, they add extra fan for AC cooling or more powerful one for the hot weather.

there are going to be a lot of small differences some due to regulations and others due to weather , and some time customer preferences.
 
Model year is normally within the VIN
At least for Europe.
One letter stands for the model yewr
 
Without knowing the model years, definitively, this is not an apples to apples comparison.
 
KSA model can also be called GCC model.
I removed my logo.

Also for UAE, there is a fire extinguisher in the glove box, guess thats a local requirement.
