To me its an eyesore that is very downgraded from the graphic showing someone in the seat in red for not belted or green for belted. This 'in your face' sign is bright and RED and quite simply distracting in a bad way. Hopefully over time I learn to ignore it and don't notice it any more but for now it annoys the crap out of me. I feel like it was designed by the same person who set up KITT from the 80s.. lol

So wish I had done this. Just got a 2024 delivered Friday. Hit the road Sunday night. Stuck at the electrify America charger start 4a this morning about 200mi from home. Lucid had to tow it and I had to drive all the way back home in a 15-seat passenger van because they were all sold out of rentals. Guess I'll have to take the Tesla on the road until the Lucid is fixed. Oh, also had the frunk not closing, ultrasonic sensors blocked, etc. Nightmare since delivery

This might literally be the point. If they thought the old one was too subtle, it being “in your face” *could* be the intent.

Or liability concerns: "I didn't notice the seatbelt warning, so my kids weren't buckled in at the time of the accident, and it's your fault"

  • Passenger Line of Sight: The passenger-specific warning must be visible to the front passenger.
  • No Obstructions: The telltale cannot be blocked by the steering wheel rim or other cabin trim.
  • Day and Night Visibility: The icon must be easily readable in all ambient lighting conditions.
  • Standardized Icon: The warning must use the universally recognized seatbelt symbol.

  • Visual Alerts: Must last for at least 60 seconds upon vehicle ignition if a seat is occupied and unbuckled.
  • Audible Alerts: Must last for at least 30 seconds. This operates as a two-phase system where the first phase triggers immediately on startup for 30 seconds, followed by a second phase that scales in persistence based on vehicle speed. [1, 2]

Rear Seats
The rules create entirely new alert timelines to inform the driver about back-seat passengers: [1, 2, 3]
  • On Vehicle Startup: A visual warning must remain on for at least 60 seconds to display the initial buckling status of all rear passengers. [1]
  • If a Passenger Unbuckles Mid-Ride: If a rear seat belt is unfastened while the vehicle is in motion, both a visual and auditory "change-of-status" warning must trigger and stay active for at least 30 seconds

Makes sense... Maybe if they finally do redesign of the screen layouts and graphics they will find a way to improve the look, although if it happens this might only work for later cars or those with the updated processor...
 
since the update... no matter what i'm listening to w/ the sound system... it will randomly switch spotify and try to play a random song. example.. listening to the news on sirriusxm and then 'POOF' it switches to play Santigold.
 
The new bug I have in 2.10.0 is anytime I pause Tidal (Lucid UX version, not Android Auto) by clicking the button on the steering wheel roller, it always starts the song over. I can see the timer move back to zero as soon I click pause.

That’s not a fault but a feature called a Darwin event

Same. Native Tidal has never been right.

I've had this since the previous 2.9.x update. If playing an album, it goes back to the start of the whole album.
 
I guess it will be me and @Tim-in-CA, the last holdouts on 2.8.30 with our 2023 Tourings...

Tim, if you get the Bat Signal for 2.10, let me know so I can call CS for a "push"! 😅

I've had this "feature" since I got my car in January.
