The graphics are a new federal requirement, in line of vision, need to be on for 60 seconds.

Needs to be “clearly visible “ to the driver.

Blame the federal Gov!
 
Can someone show the two graphics next to each other? in one post? So i understand better why there is such an outrage ;)

This is one instance where OTA updates can make things worse. I own a 2024 vehicle without OTA updates--- and this obnoxious 60 second display will never happen.

Essentially most cars built before this new Federal requirement will never have this nonsense. BUT any 2027 and newer vehicle purchased will... then there's us with the OTA updates that suffer with it as well. booo

Well I can't go back in time to show the old graphic since I've already updated my software. Have you updated it or not? The best I could do is show go out in my garage and show the NEW obnoxious graphic that apparently sticks around for an entire minute!

I haven't updated it yet, but I will because it feels like updating is a necessity. I hope lucid actually reads enough of this and realizes there is a better way to make this change and raise visibility.

the new requirements go into force on September 1st from what I see. They've got time to change the actual visual of it, especially if it needs more persistent and annoying in the future. I'd rather something be persistent and look nice than consistently staring at a visual designed in the mid-90s.

Yeah, lol. It’s fine, as far as I can tell. I do not understand getting that incensed over a simple graphic, personally.

But that’s me. People have different desires and needs and opinions I guess.

I have a '23 Touring & installed the update (with car plugged in to my Lucid home charger) & no problems so far. Hope I'm not jinxing myself :)

Personally I’m not upset but a bit annoyed by an apparent downgrade of the symbol. It’s so

I agree...I don't see it as an improvement, but it's like 369th on my list of what I care about {shrug} ;)
 
If anything, due to my seating position in the AIr it's hard for me to even see much of that part of the screen due to the wheel.
 
As someone who complained loudly about the lack of release notes, I'm quite embarrassed to admit I missed the part about unplugging prior to updating. I did the update while plugged in to my home charger but encountered no issues.

I don't hate the seat belt graphic, but it does feel less graphically streamlined than the previous iteration. I'm thinking this could be a backport from 3.0 to meet those pesky fed regulations.

Eh the car should tell you or not do it. They have the technology.
 
I saw the unplug note and basically ignored it as the car was no longer charging

this is my only thing with it. I am not outraged or extremely bothered. I just find the downgrade unnecessary. It just looks really cheap for a car that is trying to feel upscale.
 
At least people aren't complaining about the Air's door locks or face sensor location any more.
