Lucid (allegedely) hires AlixPartners as part of restructuring.

I agree with you, but Lucid has a very long history of using outside consultancies. I agree they are mostly pointless.

AlixPartners, at least, is actually quite solid in their work, historically; much more so than the 'Big 5,' in my experience.
OK...but let's be real. Hiring Alix likely signals strife among management, lenders, and Saudi PIF. Yes, Alix advises on a lot of things: operating efficiency, marketing, product selection, etc (been there). But hiring them now seems to be about finanial restructuring, and at least the bluff of Chpt 11 to squeeze the lenders. Lucid is in a tough spot: likely in default of loan agreements giving the lenders the right to call the loans. CH11 would give them protection, but poses a huge marketing red flag. It's come to hardball time, and to me the future of the company comes down to how much more time/$ the Saudis are willing to invest.

As a female buyer, I concur. Just my two cents, the car industry in general isn't female friendly so I can't particularly blame lucid. To be fair, how many female users are on this forum? I suspect not many.
We have quite a few, actually, but unsurprisingly, most are lurkers :(

We do have some pretty prominent females around though, like @AirDoll :)

That would be a lot of strife considering that the current management team has been in place for about a week.

I'm not saying that a financial restructuring won't happen. But I wouldn't assume one was imminent considering recent announcements and recent commitments from the PIF and Uber. More than likely the leadership is looking to reverse their fortunes and has hired outside help to facilitate that. Time will tell.

That was obviously true before they hired Alix. That's not news.

Based on what evidence? There has been nothing to show that is why they hired them. You might be right. Or you might be wrong. We literally do not know, hence why it is speculation.

It has always come down to how much more time/$ the Saudis are willing to invest. Again, this is not news. There is no news here.

They hired a consultancy, for probably the 30th time. That is literally all we know.

let us all take a moment to commemorate this event of agreement and dare I say?... friendship and future collaboration
I’ve always liked @socktucker, even when he doesn’t deserve it ;)

(I’d grab beers with most people on this forum; I think y’all are swell)

Guess who gave them the loans buddy……

How about this? Inspired to buy?
This video shows that the Gravity can be more appropriate for “typically” shorter woman who would be less likely to smack their head on the open rear hatch.
