I have loved my Lucid and today she goes back to Lucid Financial. As I bid farewell and I am reminded of what a nightmare Lucid Financial was when I finalized my first lease. Two days ago I made a deposit on a new Lucid only to be told the next day that the application wasn't complete and the deal that was offered yesterday is no longer available today. Lucid sent the return of my deposit and this is how we ended our 3 year relationship. It's a great car and I will miss it. I won't miss the poorly executed buying experience or the service. I'm an EV driver and would love to buy a car from a US manufacturer so maybe it's back to Tesla or a foreign made Mercedes. Wishing I hadn't bought the Lucid stock. I'm not sure it matters how good the car is when you can't manage customer relationships.

I liked my drive of an EQS 580.Rear wheel steer is just great. The new model with steer by wire should be amazing.
 
Out in Germany already but no chance of buying one. The sales book are too full. Current wait time to get one is over 12 months..🙈 and no dealer has ore configured cars available for sale since those are all sold also..
I was sitting in one last weekend and it was OK. But the design of the front.. Not my cup of tea

Were you able to drive one?
 
Yeah driving was good. However it was during a small demo drive was only 10 minutes and then next guys in line were at it. So not real experience. And for us not even on the horizon because I would like to exchange my etron with a 7 seater like gravity gt :)

Thanks for the reply. I'm happy with my Lucid but thinking about what I'd get as the next EV. I like sporty cars but for some reason not thrilled with the Taycans and Etrons. I want something more along the lines of a wolf in sheep's clothing - like a Sapphire! Certainly the Gravity is the choice for a 7 seater but very different from your Etron...

Yeah I know the difference of course. It's more because we are expecting a 3rd one in December. My wife has an id4 which should be changed to something more equipped . maybe Id buzz, Mercedes vle, skoda peaq, ionic 9 or so
The gravity would be for me but just for fun though 😅
I would not need a new car if we have one big one as 7 seater.

VW brands have bad software. Id buzz very poor range. Hyundai/Kia brands seem reasonable.

The new Cayenne EV's software is said to be quite good. But not a 7-seater.
