The Chicago service center seems to be ghosting me. My calls are not being answered or returned. This has happened before. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Same issue with Chicago. I have a drive service warning as well as an issue with my front passenger window. Called and left a voice mail on Tuesday detailing my issue and what I’ve done to troubleshoot and have gotten no response at all. I have dealt with them twice before and did not have this issue - I always got a call back within an hour or two. It is disappointing to say the least. I only use Chicago to schedule the mobile service here in the Twin Cities so I may just reach out directly to the mobile tech and bypass Chicago.

I just took my Gravity in for a drive system warning. It took a few tries to even get someone to respond to set up an appointment. In contrast, my first service experience back in February was great.

When I finally spoke face-to-face with the service manager at our sattelite location she said they changed some of their customer service systems. Which explains why my intial texts did not go through. She also mentioned they have been slammed with the second row/backseat recalls.

See if you can call the Oak Brook studio and then use their system to route to Goose Island service. Somehow the regular system is broken...

The mobile tech called me late this afternoon and it getting my issues addressed in time for me to goon my road trip in a week. He rocks.

Update: my service is complete and I have my Gravity back, just in time to hit the road early tomorrow morning.

My issues: 2nd row weld recall, front passenger window not closing/working reliably, light bar (trim right below LUCID on the frunk) coming up, drive system warning. I was also hoping to get a hitch installed (not needed for this trip but want it for future use).

I brought in my Gravity to the body shop where they do work in the Twin Cities on Tuesday over lunch and got an Air loaner. The mobile service tech starting working on it within 30 minutes of me dropping it off and continued to work on it pretty much non-stop until this morning (Friday). He did the 2nd row weld recall fix, fixed the light bar separating from the frunk, replaced the window regulator for the front passenger door, fixed the drive system error warning, replace both of the frunk structs (an outstanding service bulletin item that I didn't know about), and installed the 3.5.7 update for me. Unfortunately, Chicago was out of hitches so he was not able to get one in time to install it but said he can come to me and install it after I am back from my trip - I do not need to bring my Gravity back to the shop.

As for the drive system warning, I am very happy he fixed it before my trip. It turns out that the coolant valve goes bad because something was wrong or bad with the original coolant that was added when the vehicle was built. He ended up draining the coolant, replacing the coolant manifold, and then putting in new, different coolant so that this problem should not reappear. Had I ignored the warning thinking it was a false warning and then driven 2000+ miles in a week, I feel like it would have ended badly.

Overall, I am very happy. I have had to take my Gravity in for service 3 times since getting it in September (console tray NFC/pinched wire issue in the first trip, replace a trim piece that was damaged during delivery by the hauling company in the second trip, and then this trip). Every time the Twin Cities mobile tech has been great - super friendly, responsive, and helpful. While some people are afraid of owning a Lucid far from an official service center, I am happy I didn't let that stop me from getting a Lucid. Given how things have been going at the service centers, I. think that being close to mobile support may be a better ownership experience than being close to a service center. If you live in the Twin Cities area and are thinking about getting a Lucid, I would not let being so far from the Chicago service center stop you from getting one.

On a side note, the Air loaner I had worked great. No key issues, hands-free highway assist was awesome, even in stop and go traffic, and it was just a pleasure to drive. I got worse efficiency with the Air than with my Gravity, which I found quite surprising. I drove the Air in smooth and just like how I drive my Gravity and I reset the trip when I picked it up so that I could compare the efficiency between the two. The Air did have the large wheels with summer rubber while I have the small wheels with all season tires on my Gravity, which clearly makes a difference, but I was still surprised.

This is an example of how being reliant on mobile service (assuming repairs are within their capabilities) can be an advantage vs depending on a Service Center. If you make an appointment at SC (assuming you can get one) and then bring car in, there is a good chance that it will sit in a back lot for a couple weeks before they finally get around to working on it. At least with mobile service, they do not schedule an appointment until they are ready to work on your car.

No response from Goose Island facility regarding RWD Pure recall. Customer care answered one call and said the car was okay to drive and said the service center would call to make an appointment within 24hrs. that was ten days ago and a few more calls from me. this doesn't inspire a lot of confidence especially because i need to drive the car out of town for several hundred miles i would just like to have it looked at to determine if it needs a repair or not. Not a lot to ask for a new car.

Lane Assist issues on my AT. Austin Tx Customer Care is scheduling service some 30+ days out. Ridiculous! It gets better... calling the Customer Care rep is equally as bad. Now, the cell number is apparently disconnected. Maybe, he got caught up in the lay offs company wide?

Please someone clarify regarding my Lane Assist "ping ponging" issue. Happens on all highways, rural, interstate, etc. Customer Care claims I must travel to Austin, 90 miles away for remedy as the highways in my area are not sufficient to correct. Interesting, my Lexus and Ford F250 Lane Assist works flawlessly here. Please any comments? Thanks,

Please be specific about what you’re experiencing. Are you in Drive Assist? If not, the car will not steer for you, period.

If you are in either Adaptive Cruise Control or just driving, the LKA (Lane Keep Assist) will try to keep you from veering into another lane, but by ping ponging you back into yours. In part, that is intentional and is to wake you up, as the car is not steering for you.

So if that’s what’s happening, there is nothing wrong with your vehicle.

I hate it admit it-but I had the same issue. I thought wow this is the worst autopilot I have ever had.

Turns out I didn’t have it. It was LKA all along.

Adaptive Cruise is engaged... Lane Assist will literally move me from the BEYOND the Center Line, back to the White Line at the shoulder and BEYOND. In other words, into oncoming traffic and into the "bar ditch". The answer is surely, calibrate the cameras.

You need to switch from adaptive cruise to drive assist. Hold the CC button to switch it.

Do you have DD Premium or Pro?

So basically it's "pulling the car" further in the wrong direction? My touring does this sometimes and I currently have an Air Pure loaner that does this as well
