Which makes one appreciate great writers like Jane Austen even more. That girl managed to put over snark, shade, sarcasm and everything, without using a single emoji or trigger alert.

I had never even considered it until you mentioned it. I'm not sure why, but if def wasn't on my radar. But given how interesting I find the content here, and how often I come to the forum, contributing for me is a no brainer. Thanks for point this out.
 
I appreciate @Macrocosmcwh posting to fundraise for the forum. It's not my style but I certainly got the humor and he wasn't singling out anyone by name (unless you came in and painted a target on your back like @socktucker 😂). If you think that a little guilt trip isn't kosher or effective, you've never listened to Ira Glass during an NPR pledge drive. I'm sure it rubs some people the wrong way but I hope that most would take it a good natured appeal to support the forum that we all enjoy.

Besides, how else would @borski be able to gain such immense respect and reverence? Not at home, I'm sure.😂

Well, it's interesting how things have changed with time.
Back at the beginning of this forum, recognizing there was no ad and hence no revenue, those who wanted to contribute to the operating cost just quietly signed up.
And once again, we all owe a debt of gratitude to Joe, the selfless mods, and all the posters for sharing their knowledge, wisdom, and conquests, as well as their sufferings.

I did not realize that this was an option. I immediately became a supporting member because this forum as been invaluable to me as a new owner.
 
Any stats on how effective these snarky posts were in getting new SUPPORTING MEMBERS?

Maybe a new maketing approach?
 
I became a Supporting Member because I loved my car and when I had issues with my 22 AGT I could come here and find that unfortunately I was not alone. They helped me get through difficult times, especially with generation one of the software.
