I don't know about anyone else, but I find the 3 flashes to indicate a lane change insufficient warning of my intentions.

I just moved from a 2016 Lexus ES300H to a 2023 Lucid Air Touring. One of features of the Lexus was the ability to change the # of flashes of the Lane Change turn signal. I changed it from 3 flashes to 7 flashes. I found it especially useful when traffic is heavy and you hope someone will make way for you. After my first week of driving the are on San Diego freeways, I am finding that I have to do the full turn signal in that situation and then I forget to turn if off.

I am sending a suggestion to change this to swfeedback@lucidmotors. Is there another way suggest this to the company?

I agree - 3 flashes is too short and I love the idea of having an option to change it!

But is it really the number of flashes or the total time it is flashing?
Personally I’d like 3-5 seconds of flashing for a lane change

I think the flash interval is pretty consistent across cars.
I love FSD on my Model S, but when it changes lanes it has too many flashes (for too long). I really should count, but it feels like 9 or 10 flashes on average.

I feel like the current 3 flashes is too short. I think 5-6 would be perfect, but it would be great if it were configurable.

Pretty sure my Model Y was exactly 4.

It depends upon how you drive, I suppose, but 4 was adequate for me. Personally, I am not requesting anything of other drivers, just finding my own slot and announcing my intentions.

The concept of making it adjustable is a good one and should be easy to implement. Lucid needs to maintain an engineering leadership position, especially if someone else has already done this.

Having the ability to change the number of flashes should be a benefit of living in this software-defined world of ours. Totally agree with you. I'm going to reach out to support to submit a feature request, I'd suggest doing the same.

I was able to change the setting on my last car from three (the default) to four flashes. Four felt like too many so I went back to three lol (which doesn't seem like enough).

I really do think that it’s more the time duration rather than the number of flashes

They are directly correlated. More flashes = longer time duration, as they are equally spaced.

Yes assuming you hold any specific time value. You can also go from 1 second spacing to 1.25 seconds. Same count but an additional 0.75 seconds of warning.
I suspect there is a constant defined in a module somewhere that sets the duration.

Ah, yeah; in every vehicle I’ve driven with the feature, the timespan between flashes is unchanged. But you’re right that would be a pre-requisite. I would be super jarred if the cadence changed haha

I'm pretty there's a setting in the DreamDrive settings to adjust the duration. Not in the car to check, but it is worth to take a look.

I just did my DreanDrive settings again after replacing the CCV yesterday. I did not see any setting.

Didn't they reduce the number of flashes in a recent software update? Or am I making that up?

FWIW you could configure the number of flashes on my old E46 BMW, and that was 20+ years ago. Of course you needed a laptop, an OBD II cable, some dodgy software and balls of steel ... 😁

I was thinking of the short vs long activation. That does not change the number of blinks.
