over a year with this car, have had in the shop over 6 times for a trunk, floormat and the bluetooth issue. Apple or Android. Cuts out mid call, they cant hear me, i cant hear them. ANYONE have this fix for a technology from LITERALLY 1999?

You’re not gonna like me saying this, but: mine works fine.

Are you using CarPlay/AA or just regular Bluetooth? CarPlay/AA work better with much higher quality, as they have higher bandwidth.

well that actually is very good to hear that its actually fixable. I've tried all of it, Carplay 16 pro, Android auto Fold 7, straight up Bluetooth without the phone projection. I've tried even only allowing AA to work through usb with developer settings (don't worry everything was reset to default). The problem is even when CP and AA are working the Bluetooth gives out. Its random and the only way to fix it is the reset. WHICH is infuriating if i'm on a long drive. I use my phone ALOT for business. :(

TAke it back to service, its all we can do.

You’re saying that even when CP is running, the call cuts out in the middle of the conversation consistently? If so, and assuming you’ve tried other phones, you need service.

I've had the same issue since I bought the car last June. I've spoken to service many times — both by phone and in person — but they have no answers. The frustrating part is that it always seems to work when they test it, so I eventually gave up and just deal with it. Most of the time a reboot (sometimes a few) does the trick.

One specific problem I finally figured out — slightly different, but possibly related. After ending a call, I sometimes couldn't hear SiriusXM. A few weeks ago I discovered that the media volume was randomly dropping after I hung up. The fix is to go to Settings > Audio > Volume > Media and turn it back up manually. I suspect this can happen with regular phone calls too, not just SiriusXM.

One other habit I've started: I always make sure CarPlay connects when I first get in the car. If it doesn't connect right away, I reboot — and that usually gets the phone working.
