Was just curious about any used Gravitys and saw three DE for sale nationwide on cars.com. I’ve seen others up for sale over the past couple weeks too.
1. Heard there were some more nuances with the DE vs regular GT. Would be curious to hear more (or point to threads to read)
2. Why so many? Three at one time seems like a lot for a limited run trim. Not like people gonna be able to “scalp” the car.

@mods please move to correct spot if this isn’t the right section.
 
I'm guessing that the kind of person who jumps into a DE might also tend to be the kind who jumps out again.
Impulsive, impatient, eager to try new things and have the latest shiny tech. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you have the means.
 
What years are/were the DE made? I wanted one in Feb of this year, but they weren't on the website. The Studio people said they were '25 only, as did the salesperson. There is a thread on Reddit today about a deal on a '26 DE, direct from Lucid. I asked about this there, but no one has responded yet.

They were all 2026.

A limited run, maybe? By the time I got interested, they may have all been gone. But apparently there are massive deals available on them now. According to Reddit... so yeah.

"Great test drive and my sales advisor finds a few available 2027’s that could be a fit and lists out a few incentives it qualifies for. I go home and the next day he reaches out and tells me he found a ‘26 Dream Edition in their inventory that qualifies for Lucid Credit $20,000, Studio Select $5,000, Demo Drive $1,000, Friends and Family $2,000, and Conquest $2,000."

That's a deal. That car is not currently in the inventory on the website. It must be some internal inventory. Our sales rep was terrible. We wanted the DE, but he said they were' 25-only. But we love the GGT, and it's probably better bang for the buck. Unless, of course, you can get $30K off on the DE.

There were no ‘25 DEs. They were all 2026.

so you want to exchange your GGT with DE ?!

whoa 30k off is a lot. In Germany the sales rep offered me 4%.. 148.000 € (168.552,76 US) 6000€ less...for brand new one

I don't see how that would be the case unless they were giving out one year leases (btw,question, can you lease a DE or were the DE's only sold?).
 
You could get a 12 month lease if you wanted but I also think there were a bunch of people who ordered GDEs and then got GGT when the HUD issue delayed the GDEs. Leaving several/many GDEs unclaimed. My original order included!

If I could get $30k of a GDE so it’s effectively the same or slightly less than my GGT, I’d grab it.

The ONLY thing that would freak me out is my GGT has been stable and I have no idea what a GDE would be like. Most folks are fine. Some have been in purgatory.

The USED DEs I’ve seen aren’t enough of a discount (for me).

Yep, this is true for me too. I bailed on my DE order when the HUD delay happened. Given what people are experiencing with the HUDs and the ample power and performance the GTs have, I'm very happy with my choice, other than the lack of the power package. That one stings not having.

Exact same for me. Really wanted the power package but LOVE being able to get my Gravity in August 2025!!

TBH, I would do a dirt cheap GDE lease right now if that was possible. I would grab the power and fun and gamble on the SW and HUD fixes for a year.

Gravity's software is reasonably solid already IMO.

^ Agree. But…it took quite some time to get here.

The lease rates are nowhere near as attractive as the finance rates right now in the 2026s. Particularly since there are no real part differences or features as compared to the “2027s”…

Yes. It looks like they need a few more rounds of updates to fix the HUD, deploy PaaK, improve the fob still, and clean up the few glitches in 3.6.
