(POSTPONED) Join Us for an Ask-Me-Anything with Erwin Raphael, Senior Vice President of Global Revenue, June 18 at 9:30 pm Pacific

I really hope Silvio takes a serious look at their service strategy. That side of the business clearly needs funding to open many more centers. People don't want to take a "risk" with a new car company if they don't think issues that may arise during ownership can be addressed in a timely fashion.

I'm sure he got the message.....blatantly obvious

Maybe a little too alive as some of the replies here are just rude.
Just happens to be the style for some.
Part of their way of living life and its challenges. We're all different.

We only have to read their words.
Imagine the people who live with them.

I truly hope my question regarding Erwin Raphael's future at Lucid isn't taken as mean, cynical or rude. I am hopeful he will be empowered with the resources to build a service model that works and can capitalize on Lucid's fantastic product to energize sales of existing product as well as the Cosmos.

I do believe the current practice of transporting vehicles to sit in service center lots for weeks while paying for rental cars is broken - perhaps it will work years down the road, but it isn't working now. i love mobile service, but it seems like it should be an additional system to a service center rather than the service center being an additional system to mobile service.

The delays in getting back to potential customers by internal sales advisors and the different behaviors of Lucid Studios indicates improvements can be made to the sales process.

All these things are evident if one reads this forum - and Mr. Raphael is responsible for both. My question about his future has more to do with the future direction of the sales and service needs, because we have already seen the past performance - and it hasn't been good enough.

It's up to Mr. Napoli to determine if his team is moving in the direction he wants - and pilot the ship to profitability. I wish every single employee success - as a shareholder and as a fervent supporter of the brand.

Dream Ahead!

I don’t think any of the replies are rude. They are curt, unfiltered and honest. This emphasizes the frustration owners have with Lucid constantly shooting themselves in the foot, overpromising and underdelivering. I mean they couldn’t even follow through on a Reddit AMA. Cancelling short notice after questions were submitted without providing an updated date is embarrassing. It would have been nice to see Lucid step up to the plate and take the beating head on from customers. At least to me that would have shown they are willing to accept their faults and work on improving. Now by backtracking and cancelling the AMA it looks like they are hiding.
It honestly should be Silvio Napoli taking an hour or two out of his day to do the AMA as the new CEO. If you’re serious about turning around a company and trying to win back customer trust you need to be accessible and show you’re listening to your customers.

I completely agree. They need to realize the "gravity" of their current situation and the long-lasting impact it will have on the confidence of current owners and potential buyers.

Sorry but no. Implying that he's been fired or is avoiding doing the AMA because he's scared is just rude. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I do try to give people the benefit of doubt, maybe he had something come up that prevented him from being able to do it at that time. Jumping to conclusions like that immediately without even giving them any time to reschedule it is, IMO, pointless. Not everything is done for nefarious reasons.

Also, reading comprehension is a good thing. The post literally says it was postponed and here you are complaining about it being cancelled.

You are correct, he totally deserves the benefit of the doubt since we don't know what happened. But what I read through the comments (and through my own experience), is that the beef is not with Mr Raphael but with the company for what appears to be an attempt to avoid facing the crowd.

I didn’t see any post implying that Erwin was fired. The only post was a question which was clearly and prominently plastered with a disclaimer not to read into it and there is no info that Erwin was being let go. It was clearly satire. Now the assumption that the AMA was cancelled because Lucid was scared based on the questions is very much a reasonable assumption and deserving. The business term is “postponing”, but without a new date it is reasonable to assume it has been cancelled until a new date is provided. Again, this is Lucid shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to PR. They may not have had nefarious reasons to cancel the AMA, but that’s not how it looks to the public. A company needs to take into account how their actions may be perceived to the public before taking said action.
Based on Lucid’s track record so far, do you believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt? I don’t….that’s not rude, just an honest customer opinion.

Maybe health reasons, or other more critical company work , or they wanted to come up with a plan to address these issues and then hold the Reddit. Many legitimate reasons to cancel. No need to get all worked up.

And no other company will tell you why so don’t expect Lucid to.
The last time I postponed a talk I was giving (the night before, no less) it was because my mother had a stroke. That was 3 months ago. (She’s fine now, for the most part)

I have no idea what happened here, but I agree with you people are jumping to all sorts of conclusions without any evidence whatsoever.

They can be curt, unfiltered, honest… and rude. They are not mutually exclusive.
