MKBHD's review of the Lucid Gravity

He's using mid-size wheels and dinging it for not getting close to 440 miles range! One of his shots even shows 386 miles range at 100% battery.

Average review because he gets quite a few details incorrect.

I love his reviews style but he's gone on record for saying he does not like the Lucid Design language.
No one else really agrees with him, but I think that explains his dismissive "Mini Van" digs.

He is really not a car reviewer but he’s trying very hard to be one. He should stay in his lane. **rimshot**

He also hastened the Fisker Ocean’s demise for better or worse.

And naturally, he had a key issue. 🤦‍♂️ But he did actually compliment the software.

I wonder how he got the car? If from Lucid I would have hoped they’d give him one with a working fob . . . If they even have one.

Seriously you’d think he would spend a little time getting to know the product.
Yeah some reviews get press cars for a week plus. Others get a few hours. I haven’t watched the video yet but I’d be curious to know how long he’s had it for. Like I said above he’s not a car guy as much as he tries to be.

All said and done, though, this review is a boost Lucid could use. Lots of views, and he and whoever the test driver was really liked the car and rated it head of the pack for its category.

Yes, he got a few details wrong and judged the third row legroom with the second row run all the way back (which almost nobody would need to do). But, despite the key fob issue, which he knows also occurred with the Air, he did not dwell on it as so many have. He also massively praised the UI design and glossed over the current software shortcomings we all here know the Gravity has.

Frankly, I was pleased and relieved with this review.

He’s like every typical influencer. Jack of all trades and master of none. Problem is, when they have large followings people take what they say as gospel and they know it. All they really care about is the clicks, not whether they got the all the info right in the video.

He had the second row pushed all the way back -- something almost no one would ever need to do to be comfortable in the second row.

He was almost hitting the ceiling too.

As far as leg room, it is common to set all 3 rows to your own height, it would just help to know what the height is…

I didn’t see him move things excessively and the tray table was not sitting amazing in 2nd row
