Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Hah! My page looks like this, even though I have used EA to charge many times. Perhaps because I never had a free charging plan??

BTW, there is an advantage to using the Tesla app even once Lucid gets the handshake fully working: if you own a Tesla or sign up for the charging plan, there is a discount that is currently not available through plug-and-charge. This applies to Gravity as well. Lucid is supposedly working on this.

Success! I took up three spots but I was able to charge. I used the Tesla app. As others have said, the key is to select your charger number and press "Start Charging" in the Tesla app before plugging the cable and adapter into the car. It worked immediately when I did this.

I finally got it working. Took several tries because internet connection was very spotty at that station. Can’t wait for it to be streamlined like EA.

Do we need update 2.8.0 to get P&C at Tesla SCs?

It's confusing now because the phone app release version numbers are very close to the car's release numbers.

3 spots? That will make you real popular.

Yup! When I was at a Tesla SC the other day, an Audi was taking up 2-3 spots trying to figure out how to charge. A disgruntled Tesla owner walked by and shouted, ‘No consideration for other drivers, none!’

I sold my Tesla shortly before my Lucid purchase. I deleted my Tesla App. When I downloaded the app tonight it went back to my deleted account. I entered the Lucid information. I don’t want to pay the $12.99/ month fee and only want to use Tesla superchargers infrequently as a “non-member” despite having more charging fees per use. However I can’t seem to be able to select the non member status. Any ideas?

Did you try removing your payment source from the app?

Did you sign up for the monthly membership fee?
If not, then you should not be a member.
I still have a Tesla and this is what my app shows if I want to sign up.
