I agree with you on this . I've done the rain thing with the family too...you should try getting stuck in a heavy snow storm at freezing temperatures with the car doors not opening after you've put the snow socks on

You need service. Flashing twice as fast means a bulb is burning out (on most vehicles), and the other issues appear to be some kind of calibration or other issue.

Call service. Sorry to say.

Carry the fob.
 
The Fob works poorly also.

.....the door unlock thing needs to be addressed, or at least a statement from Lucid.. REPEAT ..or at least a statement from Lucid with a plan..

Try waking the car up from the app as you heading to the car.

The fob works pretty well for me with passive unlock enabled, unless I approach the car from the rear. In that case, once in a rare while I have to move a little to wake the car, or double-click it.
 
I gave up on the mobile key and just carry the fob now. No problems whatsoever. A bit inconvenient, but waving the phone at the car all the time (except in my garage ....) was more inconvenient.

I never use the fob. I find that the mobile key unlocks car consistently but sometimes I need to stand outside for a few seconds. If I take my phone out of my pocket and put it up near the window it seems to go a bit quicker, but that may just be a placebo because an extra second passes while doing so.

The fob works much better. But I don’t carry it because I don’t want to. If your fob is not working properly, perhaps you need to talk to service. What happens when you do get near the car with the fob? Have you tried refreshing the batteries? Using alcohol on the bitterant layer?

3) probably not related, but the car not unlocking w/ remote key or the fob is worse. way worse. and no.. i'm not taking my car to the service center again for this to be w/o a car for two weeks to again be told that I need to keep cycling bluetooth connection on my phone or wave the key fob around the car like a shamen chanting "pleeeeasssse open".

The knock on your steering wheel at low speed is not new in 2.7.0 I have experience it for a long time. I do think it is more noticeable in the last few months before 2.7.0
 
I have a feeling that fixing the poor entry experience is not a simple software update. Might have to do with the hardware and that's not something that I see Lucid recalling all its cars for, at this time.

I just got used to it. It happens like 50% of the time: I press the handle, the car wakes up but it doesn't pop-up the handle. I have to open the Lucid app. Embrace the suck :)

It's so funny how my wife (primary driver - basically stole my Lucid) bitches so much less than me. I would have thought she will be more pissed, because she's not a car nut like me.
 
I think the door handles and key fob have a sensor. Whenever you want to show off the car, or the weather is bad, they fail. Overall probablity of getting in the car on one try = 50%. On 2-3 tries = 100%.

I’m sorry but telling people to resort to work arounds like this is just not acceptable. Keyless entry is 25+ year old technology. Every car I have had for the past 2 decades I have never had to fish a fob or phone out of my pocket in order to open the door. I just grab the handle (or on some of the early cars push button on handle) and door opened.
I just thank god that the Gravity I have on order has abandoned this deplorable system and gone to a tried and true system similar to what BMW uses. I just don’t understand why Lucid did not abandon this deplorable system after three years of problems find a way to incorporate the Gravity system (assuming it is as problem free as they promise) into the updated 2025 Air.
Meanwhile, people should stop making excuses for Lucid and giving advice like “you just need to make sure the fob is in your back left pocket, while you hold your phone above your head and then approach the car while hopping backwards.” Instead, just say “Yeah, Lucid screwed this up and I feel your pain, but until they figure out how to fix it, here are some work arounds you might try….”

This has been talked about so many times. Lucid has said publicly that they are in a legal contract with the vendor that makes the current fobs and are stuck in it and can't get out. They want nothing more than to satisfy their customers. Meanwhile, either use the fob, wake up your car by the app, or wait a few seconds by the door. Those are the only options we have. Are those perfect? Nope, not even close. They did rectify the problem in the Gravity and imagine that going forward the Air will (I hope) get the new hardware at some point as well. Is it worth all that anger? No way.

People here are suggesting "alternatives" because there is no fix for it. And they are making excuses because they love their Lucid, perfect or not, and they've learned to cope with its deficiencies. I don't think there's someone here that doesn't agree that this is a screw up. It is the single most mentioned bug of the Air, both by owners and the press.

But here we are and there's not much we can do about it at this point. Hopefully you'll learn to accept these issues and quirks, you'll enjoy the rest of what the car has to offer, and you'll vote with your wallet when your lease is up.

Okay, then don’t use the workaround. That’s entirely your choice, but in the spectrum of presently available options, I fail to see how “remain frustrated and pissed off” is somehow superior to “use a workaround that isn’t ideal but helps.”

Your life, though, and your car. :)

Good philosophy. I use a combination of 'work around +live with it' to enjoy the car. However, the Silence of Lucid is what is amazing. Do you think they are bound by a silence clause in their contract?

Agree. Not a perfect system, but why get upset before driving if it takes a few seconds for the door handles to respond? The attributes of the AGT for me are far superior to other cars that I have owned.
 
One thing I have noticed is that DDP seems to ping pong in the lane again almost exactly like it used to prior to .16

And I hope they push an update to the audio defaulting to CarPlay instead of the native Tidal app. That’s super annoying to have to do that every time I get in the car.
